instead - I took my grandkids to my ranch. However... I'm not THAT selfless as a Papa...
There is one high mountain on my ranch that allows radio stations to come in. At 1pm that's where I parked. And from there... I tuned in the Ram's radio broadcast, set the key to accessories... got out among the juniper, sage, wild oats... and listened.
I wouldn't attempt to convince you that radio is better because it's NOT. But there is nothing wrong with it either.
I think there is a big difference between watching on TV and listening on the radio that goes WAY beyond the obvious... on the radio this game was a THRILLER. I was down the hill, up the hill, on top of my pickup, lying beside my pickup, in my pickup, in the pickup bed. I negligently ran into some cactus during the bigger plays... (ouch). On the radio, (I can't really explain this), the games are not as frustrating.
I acquired 'radio expertise' long ago.. the 60's, 70's and 80's, when cotton picking season didn't always allow me to watch on TV.
So anyway... point is: For ME - this was one of the most exciting games I've "seen" in a long time. At the final gun I even fired off a 3 round salute from my .12 gauge.
You can't do that in your living room, or at the game... or that is - you really shouldn't try. - JamesJM
