More so for his work ethic and attitude. He grew up in the NFL and went down the right path versus many others. He also seemed very intelligent.
He was a workhorse, but I never felt like he could deliver the big play in crunch time. Plus, he didn't have the big plays or elusiveness. For me, I want a skilled position player to deliver those moments that change the momentum of the game. The only things I didn't like that I seemed Jackson lacked, were more clutch play in key moments and more game changing momentum plays. But he was very good player.
But the question wasn't whether he was border line Hall Of Fame, the question is whether he was underrated and he is not because most people, even myself who doesn't think as much as some other fans believe he is just that.
A Border Line Hall Of Fame player on a bad team.
