Even though I've never been much on a 'potential talent' player... (somewhat, when they show extraordinary talent) but where in the past I'd be ok with 'mid-round draft' based on potential... now no, never. I was never for a 1st or 2nd round 'potential' draftee.
For me it's been a 'waking up and smelling the coffee' moment. College ball today is AS competitive as the Pro game... if they're ready for the NFL I think it's obviously apparent in their college play. I was still hanging on to the 'it's just college' thing but while that may be true is some cases I think it's rare these days. - JamesJM
