actually said exactly nothing. Every college player coming into the NFL is a project "to some degree." If you're going to hold your statement to that tightly explicit meaning, it says nothing at all. However, what you implied was pretty clear. Howard was the only TE with a complete enough package to transfer with reasonably low risk to the NFL. My response was, no, Butt is another one assuming his knee will be healthy.

I didn't need to travel to the future to know that what Butt brings in total as a player combined with his injury risk is no more risky than what Everett as a specimen combined with his inexperience is. And I certainly don't need to travel to the future to find validation in Denver's approach vs. the Rams. The salient question is, why do you think that's what such understanding requires?
