From the Rams side just showing that the Rams are friends with the NFL and are not going to make waves, then from the Chargers side to put the fear of God into San Diego and work behind the scenes for the next 2 years on a San Diego solution and never intending to join the Rams in an expensive new Inglewood stadium where the rent would be higher than anything that could be worked out in SD.
