Can that be "sold" to the fan base? The focus of course being on Goff and his development. I'm not saying I agree. Just that it's a remotely possible path I see.
I admire your ability to enjoy that game in the face of collapse and in opponent territory as well.
As for the above scenario ... hell, I think it will happen. Something like it.
Fisher's teams do well when they reach their comfort zone: non-contention. Every year, they steal 2-3 games they "shouldn't" win. They get to the brink of contention or .500 ... and then they collapse again.
They'll win some games this year.
And if Goff starts to get the hang of things, they could get a nice run going. Which will raise all the old questions about Fisher and about whether the team is on the verge of success ....
