Rampage2K-
According to Roger Saffold, Gurley ran the wrong way.... I honestly think Gurley heard the wrong call. Only thing I can think of???
It's too bad, that TD there prolly wins the game.
Well Saffold didn't quite say that though.

Gurley seemingly had a hole to his left, with Cory Harkey blocking his man while acting as a fullback and right guard Jamon Brown acting as a pulling guard to create a hole on the left side. But Gurley ran straight ahead, and the penetration came quickly.
“Sometimes it’s hard to get to the gap that you want to get to if there’s quick pressure,” Rams left guard Rodger Saffold said. “At the end of the day, you have to give Todd space to make things happen, and we didn’t do it that play.”
Saffold is actually saying the play got blown up by quick penetration.
Now whether that's really the case, it's hard to say. That is, could Gurley have taken it left and made it work even with the penetration? I don't know, which is why I said "maybe."
What Saffold doesn't do is just straightforwardly say TG ran the wrong way and that's that. He seems instead to be saying TG read the left side as not working.
