There wasn't one minute sitting there during the game I felt that the Rams were outplaying the Bills.
When you're giving up over 7ypc on 27 carries in the run game...you ain't in control of nothing.
You're getting your back broken.
The only reason in the second half that the Bills offense slowed down IMO was because of Woody's drop, (on which he may still be running) and Russell Wilson...er..Tyrod Taylor being one of the most erratic qb's in the NFL.
But when they needed to Shady ripped them late again when it counted.
Btw on ball, EJ Gaines was getting schooled.
You know, I got the same feeling watching it in the stands..the Rams just couldn't get over that hump for some reason. There were plays to be made and the Rams moved the ball well through the air, but just couldn't finish and settled for FG's. That was a killer. Obviously the turnovers are what finally did us in, including the roughing the punter which I consider just another turn over... This team needs to get away from TG for awhile and just use him as a decoy and throw it. The missed possible pick 6 by Tru and the miss to Quick for the long TD killed us in that first half... The coliseum never had the chance to explode and get the place rocking. there was a nervousness all day as the Rams played catch up.
Btw, I just watched the 2nd qtr on tape and besides the 53 yard run by Shaddy the Rams dominated that Qtr. although the defense sucked on the two minute drill as the Bills got down to the five before running out of time and settling for the FG. The Woods drop could have been big, but it didn't really matter much as they got a first down with big catch by him on the next play...so unless he scores a TD on that play which I doubt he would have since it would have to have been a 40 yard rac it really did change things IMO.
I remember good plays from that game.
You only remember bad ones?
...
You talking to me?
Well, yes when discussing what went wrong, that is what I remember in the what went wrong category, the bad plays
If there was a thread about what went right, I have a few I can remember... Tavon, Quick, Brown, GZ would get some mentions.
I know yeah there was a drift toward a focus on what went wrong. Though that's not what the threat started with.
No thread sticks to the topic so I am asking (yes in THIS thread!) in your view what went right. Cause after all, an exclusive focus on what went wrong is already at variance with where the discussion started (LMU did not start a thread about what went wrong.)
So yeah if you don't mind I am asking. In your view what went right. Cause I saw a lot of things that did go right too.
....
Well I was replying to what laram was referring to... Not debating what we did right in that game.
But since you asked, I think a lot went right. The 10 minutes advantage in the TOP, doubling their passing yards, GZ staying perfect including a 54 yarder, Tavon at RB, Quck making plays, no drops that I can remember off hand? The defense playing tough for the most part despite missing 3/4 of its best unit.
Unfortunately in a loss though the focus is much more on what went wrong and we all know what went wrong - Jeff Fisher
Ok, seriously...too many mistakes plain and simple is what killed us.....oh yeah, that's on Jeff Fisher, I forgot...lol
No we don't "all know that." I get that a lot on this board anyway
believe that. That's their view. Not everyone's though. Not that I am getting into it...just speaking up, putting my vote in in an informal poll. Just so folks know there's more than one view of this.
...
....
I hope you realize I was being sarcastic about it all being Jeff Fisher's fault...
Well you know what? No...I didn't get that.
Sorry.
Sometimes I don't get irony on the net.
I took you as literal. Mea culpa.
