Have you ever seen a team so slow at developing high offensive draft picks expected to turn your offense around? 3 players that were so slow out of the box and just dreadful as rookies.
Hence the following:
1) 2014 - 28th in offense
2) 2015 - 32nd in offense
3) 2016 - 32nd in offense
I will give them credit on Gurley, but he was a splashed in those first 4 games as no other I have seen. Once the other team figured out stop Gurley and you stop the Rams, it has been run it in a wall of 9 and hope for the best.
Even Austin was a slow starter. Some posters here, Not me, still think he is a completely non impact player, but nobody can argue that he hasn't been developed very well as a receiver. I like him.
But there is a trend that this team cannot coach up offensive players and/or the offensive approach is so inhibiting, it puts the players in bad situations and gives the defensive opponent all the cards to make plays because of the limitness and predictability.
