He can't come out of the huddle with that.
He could however make a decision like that after seeing the defense pre-snap.
And of course going to your chosen receiver based on a favorable pre-snap read is safe, simple, effective football.
Which is what you want when you have a #2 caliber qb playing placeholder for a rookie.
That can work if you have the running game and the defense to do it.
Get Goff in there and more fully developed, ie. not as a rookie, and you will probably see more than that.
In the meanwhile I have no complaints.
