Faulk's analysis excludes the most important factor IMO.
For whatever reason(s) Prescott is processing information quicker than Goff is.
I'm not going to go into why that is, for I'm sure there are a myriad of reasons, i.e., play calling, protection, scheme, etc.
Goff is not seeing, and releasing, he's hesitant. Prescott has looked far more comfortable with his reads than Goff has.
I'm sure coaching is a huge part of that, but Goff doesn't lack in support in that area, according to Fisher.
Goff as every qb does needs help from his receivers, but he needs to help himself by speeding up his assimilation of the playbook.
Dak is poised, sees the field and makes good reads and throws. He shows a lot of the intangible that isn't a product of coaching, scheme or the talent around him. Not disputing that he has those advantages, he does. But you can see it in his eyes when he's at the line. There is a confidence in him. And he executes.
I like Goff. I think he's gonna be a good one. And it's obvious that his supporting cast is doing him no favors. But man, even in the locker room on HK, he just looks shell-shocked. He's got an adjustment period ahead of him and I'm glad the Rams are approaching this the way they have. Give him time and let him get his head on straight and he's gonna be fine.
