You win, ZN. The Rams throw deep just as often or more than all the other teams in the league. Case Keenum = Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and all the rest. His arm is just as adequate in deep passing as all the others too.
Why would anyone have ever thought he had a weak arm? It's all just made up and personal because we all hate Keenum.
Anyway yes the Rams have for a couple of years there thrown long more than some of those teams. What I actually say is, they are consistently in the top third of the league. Now I don't know why you resist that, but it is simple numbers.
And of course to throw long you don't need great arm strength though it certainly makes it easier if you do. If you don't have great arm strength, you depend on timing, anticipation, and a quick decision on seeing the defense in relation to the play.
So last year if you combine Foles and Keenum they threw 31 yards or more 5.9% of the time, which yes is in the top third of the league and better than some of the teams you list They did it 1.56 times per game which yes is better than some of the teams you list.
In 2014, with Hill and Davis combined, they threw 31 yards or more 5.88% of the time, They did it 1.75 times a game, which yes is better than some of the teams you list.
Look at Rodgers---an example chosen at random. Last year Rodgers threw 31 and over 4.3% of the time. He did it about 1.4 times a game. Yes that's less than the 2013 and 2014 Rams.
In fact the reason they do it with Keenum is because that's just part of their game, and so he does it too.
It's just the numbers.
