You pay and you get this long number which in essence tells you where to go to find your tap card. It can be anywhere w/i a 100 yd radius. Once you get the card you then go to the metro station. When the Metro arrives you then "tap" on the door a prescribed number of times and it lets you in. I know it sounds involved but its really a lot of fun. And that's what its all about-right. I think they have "tapped" into our youth and making life more interesting. It's great.
