And sad to say I'm none the wiser... but it "SEEMS" that it depends on how bad the contusion is... from relatively little concern to fairly serious.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the QB position is still on the agenda for next year. I'm not sure Stafford will be back... not unreasonable to think with his injuries and a SB ring he might decide he's done enough. don't remember who first said it on this board but I think a QB needs to be drafted every year... late rounds. Even with Stafford and Mayfield I'd sure like to see the Ram's take a shot at a QB projecby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I HAVE doubted McVay's use of them. Skow has always seemed competent to me.... not elite by any means but dependable, (even with a few drops). Tutu I just didn't know... but for the Ram's to draft him I had to believe there was something in him.... still not sure he will pan out BUT I never believed that because of his size it automatically meant he was made of glass.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I contacted him about the World Cup. As you can imagine this match today has the entirety of England in an uproar and Tim's leading the way! :laughing Gonna send you a PM with some personal info. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
England vs France... it's huge.... and no doubt our old friend RamUK is pacing the floor right now waiting for the game to begin. laughing smiley Now as I'm sure you've noticed I'm caught up in WC fever.... but even more so today... why? Good question, glad you asked. When the Ram's pull off a win like they did Thursday everything is better. Food tastes better. Paying bills is less upsetting.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I remember that game well. That was the season after I returned from overseas duty. I remember saying then that Fred's record would never be broken and I'm still saying it today. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Stunning... that's all I can say... Stunning.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
And that's some GREAT thinking I want to add. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I hope so... because both matches were knock your socks off exciting... and both featured miraculous finishes. I had my grandson's watching with me.... well, not WITH me, but watching on their phones and we had a live text going. DAMN but it was great. :laughing You see Morocco's celebration after beating Spain.... that was just fantastic... and I was rooting for Spain! :laughing Iby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
S'ok... Like my own company. :laughing It doesn't get much better than the two WC games played today. Heart stopping!by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
That goes to show you how involved in the game I am.... not that you guys aren't. :laughing But you guys can multitask.. I can't... I'm pacing, cursing, stomping, whooping, jumping, genuflecting, and Darth Vader could be on the PA Mic and I wouldn't notice. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Or do ya have a year or two left? :laughing Happy Birthday, Waterfield!!by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that just saying 'gun slinger' doesn't do justice to what Stafford and Mayfield can do.... it includes knowing 'when' to gun sling and then throwing a 'sling' in a way that optimizes your receivers chances of coming down with the ball.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
far more out of control gun slinging QB's and a lot fewer Colins'.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
This is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's going to penalty kicks.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
the 'Throat Slash" gesture.... as big as my emotional swing was imagine his.... from a career hi-light punt to defeat in the blink of an eye. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
the place where dreams come true.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
man did you ever get that right... "Don't go to bed early". :lol1 In hindsight, and actually as it was happening, I was most reminded of what NFL Caliber QB'ing actually looks like. And it goes way beyond the 'stats'. Baker's stats were very good but that doesn't begin to tell the story... a story I do not believe Wolf or Perkins could or will ever tell. While I collapsed intoby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteOld Goat I never want to hear another word about Wolford or Perkins again. . That was so fun to read. :laughing Sure seems like the Wolf/Perkins issue was put to bed in one fell swoop doesn't it?by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't help wondering if Baker will always put his primal football instincts at the forefront. IOW... not sure Baker is a horse that can be broke. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I cannot stand the smell of Tequila.... taste-wise, at least with the quality brands, it's not horrible.... but when that 'smell' hits my nose I'm fighting back nausea. My total intake of Tequila since that one time moment of insanity couldn't amount to more than a cup, if that.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that certainly seems a lot more likely than McVay just deciding "It's Mayfield Time". I don't know.... all I know is my jaw fell to the floor when Baker took the field.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but I'm not AT ALL put off by the fact that you do. :laughing Both Stafford and Mayfield are capable of those QB traits that only a few have in their arsenal. Today I guess my biggest take away from what happened last night is how actual "NFL Caliber" talent stands out from JAG's. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
just in my opinion, of course... was pulling Wolf that early and inserting Mayfield. I didn't think such a move was 'unlikely'... I thought it was an impossibility and anyone who thought it might happen was either on his/her second bottle of Tequila or certifiably insane. I looked at the imposter on the sideline and thought who the hell are YOU and what have you done to McVay?by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
that's absolutely true... but it was one hell of a game! I can't say the 'future'band what Baker might mean hasn't crossed my mind... but very little... just too wrapped up in the miracle of last night. I don't think I'm able at this time, (glowing in victory), to really give Baker's future with the Rams the consideration it deserves. Maybe tomorrow? I don't know... this glow might not fadby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Coming from you I'm officially thinking you're right - Stafford should hang up his cleats.... and this has NOTHING to do with Baker last night. The only thing I knew, (know), about a "spinal contusion" is that it 'sounds' very bad.... whenever the word 'spine' comes in to play my radar goes off BUT... they, (Rams organization), seemed to consider the injury recoverable without dire pby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I have always felt that too much is put on how complex the game is and a 'system' is the end all of successful football. Run, Pass, Block, Tackle... play football!!!!!! I think those primal 'play football' instincts was in full force for Baker last night. Almost, not quite, but almost like "Playbook? I don't need no stinking playbook". :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I'll bet you anything that I will still be shocked by the last couple minutes.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
