QuoteRamsdude Found this post on another board from a guy who found it on another board lol. I thought it was interesting and worth sharing. I take no credit or blame... Here are the last 14 years worth of picks at the #23 spot in the NFL draft - gives a lot of perspective on trading the pick for Brandin Cooks 2017 – Evan Engram . WR NYG : One of best; 64 rec.722 yards; 6 TDs 2016 – Laquonby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
He reminds me of Steve Smith who was 5'9" but Cooks is faster (4.33 40 vs Smith's 4.39). And he is as passionate as Smith who was a tough dude for his size.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
No, that was reported but according to Cooks, it isn't true. He knows Goff and has seen him throw (they have the same agent) but they have not played catch yet.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Not sure I would sign Cooks yet simply because players seem to up their game in the final year of a contract.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
The Saints and Patriots used or traded #1 picks for him also.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
I would love to see your board and picks!by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
...he's traded. His cost vs. value/potential return is solid and he will get touches.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
He's remarkably fast and a sure tackler that could play inside or outside. If we are looking at OL I might consider Wil Hernandez the OG out of UTEP.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
I love your posts, 43....they always make me see the sun through any clouds with your positive but usually accurate insight. As a wise man once said, "No one knows enough to be a pessimist." As to OBJ, I agree. How many WRs over the years have been prima donnas? Although it is understandable from many since they may have a boatload of talent like him that want the ball thrown to themby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
I offered my Giants fan buddy the 23rd this year, a 3rd round pick next year & Tavon Auston for OBJ. His response "Very tempting". I have suggested he become the Giants GM.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Deacon Jones was no choirboy either. He was a brutal hitter: "If they get up (after a hit), good. If they don't, good."by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
OBJ signed a 4 year, $10,406,198 contract with the Giants, including a $5,888,144 signing bonus, $10,406,198 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,601,550. In 2018, Beckham, Jr. will earn a base salary of $8,459,000, while carrying a cap hit of $8,459,000 and a dead cap value of $8,459,000. He becomes a UFA in 2019.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
If they sign Suh and stay at #23, Vander Esch should be there. If Suh is gone and Hankins not interested, then I would love to see them trade up for Vea although I have seen him falling in most recent mocks. I just think the first scenario is preferable and use the #23 on an OLB.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
How many have restructured or taken less to stay or join a team? This year alone Cousins took less to play for the Vikings and Brees took less to stay with the Saints. Has Brady cut his salary again? None of the NFL players are impoverished so it comes down to situation vs. risk/gain vs. money vs. geographical preferences. All things being equal, would a multi-millionaire prefer LA or Memphis?by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
A smart, funny guy that is like another coach on the field? Sounds like a great teammate. Thanks for sharing that!by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
When one makes millions, a good financial investor can place it in various tax shelters or invest in pretax programs to offset local, state and federal taxes. Suh has made over $100M since turning pro and I would bet he has a lot of that just sitting out there, growing and completely protected from taxes. To avoid CA taxes, the same thing can be done with much of his soon-to-be added wealth. Iby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
Cordarrelle Patterson can fly but has never been a great route runner. I always expected big things from him and with Brady now he may just find success.by Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
A service I subscribe to has been pretty accurate over the years in talent evaluation for the NFL draft. So a quick look at some post-combine rankings and notes that are at least fun to read. Each tier designates or projects a BPA round but obviously there will be risers and sliders. These opinions are not mine but a condensed version of the scouting reports. I hope you enjoy it, took awhile to pby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com

McVay is outstanding at half times this year in adjusting. All they need is one or two big plays on O or D and this is a different game.by Ramboni - Game Time Forum

IMO, we are playing with 'house money' now. Would any of us have been disappointed at 8-8 after all the years of absolute disaster? We exceeded that to me and I'm happy with every win and do not want to get ahead of myself. I do not expect them to go to the SB, much less win it but know they are in that position which is great (this year). Next year, the sky is the limit. Such awesome sauce that I am at a loss. To describe such wonder makes me sit and ponder. For Guiness has nailed it and done it with pride. While we Rams fans just sit back and enjoy his ride. Terrific, man. Simply wonderful stuff! :sstby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRockRam In the Court system, justice begins by following the law and the rules of jurisprudence; not by some arbitrary, case by case, decision on what is "fair and just", or what the rules will be about how to run a trial, despite what the law (or in this case the CBA) says. I can fully understand why the Union doesn't like the way it works right now. Fine. Then in the next Cby Ramboni - RamsFootballFans.com
