if you're a Titans fan and want a higher first round pick. You'd take a 4th which roughly equates to a bust for your best player (this season) on offense who is only 28? What parallel universe have we slipped into?by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
My initial response was no. But then when I thought about it, I think you're right, I have heard people in all situations and all walks of life describe it to a greater or lesser degree. And it usually emerges under duress. In such situations it seems to me as though either life slows waaaaaaaay down, or speeds way up. We should research this guys. I'll start by throwing a Tom Braby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
He was head of sports psychology at Rice University and then went to one of the Texas U's (I forget which now). His book on confidence called 'The Maverick Mindset' is without doubt the best I have ever read. It's mind-blowingly good and so much fun for any sports enthusiast. Actually, I say read, I have the audio book, so listened to is more accurate and I'm not even sure there is a printeby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
Firstly, I LOVE you reports Alyo, thanks man! I was back in the UK for a family wedding and watched the game at my best friends house who became a converted Rams fan when I took him to a game in Tampa. I was hopelessly wrong in thinking the anti-Giants and Rams support would balance things out. It was like a Giants home game. But I digress, here is my question for you. There's a world of difference between being unaware of a bias and/or heuristic and knowing one or more may possibly be clouding your judgment and then seeking them out. But whatever, it's no big deal.by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
You think human psychology is that simple? Maybe Google confirmation bias, and sunk cost fallacy. Then get back to me :) Quotezn Quotesstrams ..because Fisher will always use the "we drafted Goff and haven't been able to play him yet - lets finish what we started" bs... This thread reminds me of a pencil that has been slammed at 50 mph into tarmac. Pointless. I know we like to go back and forth and have fun, but to even question if a player is a bust before he has played a snap in the NFL this side of him losing all of his limbs in a freak fairground accident seems ludicrous. Here's the thing with these kind of conversations. People love to say theyby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
My 'guess' is even Fisher knows more than you do, but admittedly that is just a guess and perhaps you would have nailed every play.by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
He shot JFK. Or maybe he just took a hit, the ref insisted he take a concussion protocol because that's what they've been told to do and there isn't a league wide conspiracy against the Rams after all? I know it's a stretch but who knows?by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
When everyone is fit. Not sure they have a play off caliber defensive coach though.by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
It was actually the last two plays of the game. And yes it was the tactics of a coward. Tampa got hammered for similar behavior under (I think) Schiano. Embarrassing.by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com

I have heard the 'moral victory' comment by people against it several times now. Personally I haven't read a single person on this board claim a moral victory. Now obviously I am wrong and there were loads according to the backlash. But exactly how many gets you so wound up and can you proved links to a dozen or so posters who have said that? I certainly don't think it was a moral vicby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm not dismissing them when they are thought out and sensible. I keep having to say I don't want Fisher otherwise it may sound like the contrary is true. I'm just sick of listening to complex equivalent arguments poorly thought out because the poster is closed off and waiting to jump all over Fisher no matter what he does. It's so easy to I ffer your opinion (not a fact, just an opinion) and say anything to the contrary is unarguable. Every failed fake punt attempt looks silly afterward. Fisher has killed it with some ballsy ST calls, but that gets forgotten by people who just want to pile on. When Hecker threw that pass against Seattle did you was it was dumb? Nope, because it worked. It's not the play caby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
I cannot stress enough how happy I would be to see Fisher fired. I am not supporting his coaching ability one iota. However, this board is like reading a political board at the moment, it's so polarized with few people showing any semblance of an open-mind. We are 3-2, not 1-4 ,and we played on Sunday with 3 out of 4 players missing at the most important positions on the defense. You sayby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Fisher may have been referring to the high level of success we have had with fake punts. No doubt if Bailey had dropped that punt against Seattle and the fake punt had failed too, everybody would have ridiculed him for taking such risks. The nature of plays like this is you look foolish when they fail and smart when they succeed. There are sooo many things to rip for Fisher forby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
I think sometimes that can be the case, but no way today was even close to being a moral victory.by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure about Quick. It's tough to judge the guy when they don't target him, but when they do, he largely delivers - at least this season and part of 13. He had a drop last week and two great catches. Did he have a drop today? Honestly not sure, but I don't think he dropped a good pass, but he was only thrown to 2 or 3 times. Fisher sucks, Boras sucks, but I actually wouldn't likby RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
I can honestly say I have always liked Brockers, but here's the rub. A great many people have said we are stacked at Dline, that we have depth. Today proved otherwise. Maybe we are good on the edge for depth, but not inside. Brockers being injured removes the opportunity to slide Donald outside without compromising the middle and that gives opponents the chance to adjust and hurt us.by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
Because make no mistake, by league wide standards that is all it was. The bar is so low with the run game at the moment that we think nudging average is something to be happy about. The last live game I attended at home was the loss to the Bills in St Louis. I expected that loss even though it sucked. Today I didn't and that is so much worse. Fake punts and field goals always look dumb when they fail and strokes of genius when they succeed. I don't have a problem with the idea, just that in hindsight it failed.by RamUK - RamsFootballFans.com
89,000 for a pre-season game, 91,000 for the Seahawks game. I have no idea what the attendance was today, but lots of empty seats and LOTS of noise and support for Buffalo. It seems to me that there were a lot of people at the first two games who just wanted to be able to say they were at either the first game, or the first regular season game.
