Yep. Every word.....he nailed it. Payton blew the game and I personally believe he knows that..... he just wanted to be bailed out.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's another pathetic example of the media/talking heads ramming a 'story' down our throat. Turn it off. It's wrong. They should be talking about Payton throwing twice in that situation instead of running the ball. But now they have a convenient story for ratings.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
You will NEVER see McVay do what Payton did...... Payton lost himself yesterday and I actually expect him to see limited success moving forward. He exposed a major weakness in himself. He blew it big time with the game on the line.....and then went about making it all about ONE play. I honestly cannot believe how embarrassing he was yesterday.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
To go to a microphone and start with saying you called the league office moments after the game..... it's just embarrassing. He got arrogant trying to out do McVay..... he looks ridiculous. He had EVERYTHING in his favor and is covering his own stupidity for not just running the ball after the long passby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
How about the MANY facts they're missing?? Let's take just one: what the heck was Payton doing throwing TWICE in that situation, when all he needed to do was run the ball, drain the clock, kick a FG and leave the Rams, who had no TOs, with maybe 40 seconds????? This entire 'story' that the game came down to one play is absurd. They missed multiple egregious penalties on the Saints throughouby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
By the way, I agree.....this play, following Johnson's INT (my play of the game until this throw) were HUGEby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
To even lay this on one play is comical. Don't bother to turn on Sportscenter or NFL Network right now.... Jared was outstanding.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
...and he was still having a dramatic effect on the gameby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
He had some broken zone coverage.....but he was laying the wood on almost all of his hits.....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
.....will be forgetting about the obvious: The Saints are a SB champion with this HC and QB; all the experience This game was played in their Superdome Payton lost his mind and arrogantly tried to throw the ball, when all he had to do was run the ball, kick the FG and leave the Ram's around 40 seconds. Drew Brees is the all time passing leader and had TWO more possessions following that calby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Folks, he threw DIMES again today. The pass to Higbee with Jordan draped all over him was HUGE and the difference in the game. At one point, he threw an amazing dime over Cam Jordan who ran a zone blitz. His pass to Cooks was unbelievable. He had no Gurley, no running game and no Kupp. He delivers. He is a star.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yep, it was a bad non call. Almost as bad as Payton trying to throw in that situation.... the Rams had NO timeouts. My guess: he was trying to rub it in on McVay. The Saints LOST.... period.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
That was absolutely embarrassing. Yes, it was an egregious non call. However, consider this: The Saints, this QB and HC, have won a Super Bowl and have all the experience The Saints were still winning by 3 Bree had TWO more possessions to put the game away in THEIR HOUSE The Saints won the toss to start OT WHAT in the holy %$%$ was Payton thinking throwing in that situation?? Let me aby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
....you get the sense McVay is playing mind games with Payton. Just my gut....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
If you haven't watched the press conferences this week....man, you can just sense the confidence and aggression in McVay, the coaches and players. They look different. Talk different. They are focused and seem to be relishing that this will be in New Orleans. I notice it most with McVay.... like he knows exactly what they did wrong and need to do right in this rematch. It's eerie...by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I watch the games alone or with my son......no one else allowed. It has been that way for years.... you're not alone :)by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Martz, Warner and Faulk have all said they suspected cheating. Close group....I'm sure Vermeil has talked to both and others....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well...there you have it.....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I watched all of the talking heads while in my office and not ONE commented on how completely different our defensive line was playing in this game from ANY game all season. Gone were the invitation to run through the A/B gaps.....it looked like a 4-3....and not one analyst has commented on it. We ran a completely new offense AND defense on Saturday. And dominated. I'm giddy.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I want to knock that look off of Payton's face in HIS house I want to finish the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Pass that mantle to Goff..... Perfect ending to a great season!by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
It is almost identical to what Payton did with Colston over the years. Study the tapes. Take away Thomas and limit Kamara.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
There was SO much learned by coach and QB during that losing streak. They have played them before in the same environment. The Saint can't reinvent the wheel. McVay and Goff will be ready. Jared will bring his A game. I also fully expect the defense to be special this weekend.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't stand Sean Payton.....and would love to see the younger McVay just school him in his house. I believe this has all the elements to be the Ram's finest hour.....2 games. Just two games of beating other 'geniuses'.....by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
This is fantastic. This is SO critical to building a long term winning organization. RISE They have the chance to go into their house and redeem themselves. We tied that game at 35-35....we should/could have won it after playing terrible. They will be ready. I want to see Ebukam hitting the jug machine this week......because he will get a chance in the flats.by Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
We beat the Saints in THEIR house We face the Patriots in the Super Bowl..... oh, the irony. Where they took our dynasty in 2001....the new age Rams arrive to end their's. The new, genius coach unseats the evil emperor. The new, young QB arrives to end the old guard on the biggest stage. Baton passed. This is how dynasty's begin. GO RAMSby Ram49 - RamsFootballFans.com
