Putting him behind Staff and Jimmy G with nothing to do but get strong and learn the offense? Nice. But who does that anymore?by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
He only wanted out if they didn't hire the interim coach, which they did. That ship has sailed.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
It matters what the front office knows and thinks. Sucks that we have nothing but conjecture to base our opinions from. All I know is that whatever it was, it knocked him out of last season, and I'd like a #3 QB without the issues or drama.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I know a lot of us think Wentz has more upside, but I think this was a McVay move and he totally wanted JG after seeing he'd take a backup role. This is gonna work out well.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
We got in the playoffs with a defense that had no business being there. We've already added some good pieces, and let's see what the draft puts on the table. After last year, I ain't counting these guys outta nothing.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
All true, Den. I also thought Wentz had more upside, but Jimmy G has won a lot of football games, and I think he's a good fit in this offense. If he has to step in and play, he gives us a chance to win, and after the Wolford years and Rypen fiasco, I'll take it.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
We already have a Grand Mamma.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Been debating these guys for a long time it seems. Market always dictates value, regardless of what I'm told. Glad Avila is the upgrade, he's gonna be a beast at Center.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
You nailed it.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Another great signing. Almost like they know what they're doing.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Imagine that. The only people who didn't know was us. Folks need to chill. An all time great for the Rams is hanging it up, and we should applaud him on his way out the door, not act like a bunch of schoolgirls.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Capitalism is all about the money, and there are no rules anymore. May not like it, but it's getting worse not better. Where do you think this "inflation" comes from?by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree with all of this, 43. The Rams haven't hit FA like drunken sailors, but have made quality signings. And yes, I'm warming up to the TE as well. It's all about the blocking and should still allow Allen to grow. Nervous about edge, and leaving it to the draft, but I just think they are very conscious about finding the right fit. The safety might end up being our best pick up.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Great, great read. One of my all time favorite Rams. Thank you for posting, my brother.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Wagner got beat like a drum in coverage. It was good to turn the page, and glad we didn't look back.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with your premise, and it looks like it's going along with what McSnead had planned out. We armchair GMs are disappointed that we haven't addressed a glaring need, but just because it doesn't follow our plan does it mean there is an absence of one. I'm going into shut up and wait mode...by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya, I would have thought the obvious was actually obvious. It ain't over yet, just surprised we prioritized a #3 TE over edge...by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
That's OK. We got Hoecht...by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Exactly. I can only hope he's not playing poker. Sometimes even the obvious answer is the correct one.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm all for the Oline, but spending our first round pick at an area we just threw all of our apples into makes no sense. Please focus on the D now.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Very much miss that guy. He set the tone.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm down with your thought process, but that kid sees himself as a starter now. He's young, and I'd be worried about his mindset as a backup.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't know how anyone could abandon the run behind all this beef, but they'll keep Staff upright in order to do so. Gotta love it. Your write ups are always a joy to read. Thank you, sir.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Haven't heard a peep. Was thinking that anyone planning for him would have made their move today.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLesBaker I wouldnt give him the vet minimum. He's done shish for the last few years. He's a 3rd tier WR. Maybe worse. YPG is like under 40. EF that guy. He's all about the hookers and coke.. Wow, a lot of hate there for a guy who helped us get to and win a SB. I don't want to sign him now, either, but "EF" that guy? "Hookers and Coke" without a link to baby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Man, what a stupid contract to be stuck with... just keep him another year and get it over with. Makes no sense to cut him and pay to have him be someone else's backup.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Penix is the guy. Can't wait to see how it plays out.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
How much do we change this defense if we draft Mitchell, get a FA corner like Gilmore and pick up a guy like Clowney? Feel free to spin the FA name wheel here, but that scenario would be a drastic improvement over what we put on the field last year, and set us up for a heck of a late season run. Drafting a stud like him to shut down one side of the field rather than providing late game penalty gby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
