So often top teams take weak opponents too lightly. Obviously, that didn’t happen, a tribute to the Ram coaches and captains, I think. I have no doubt that the Rams will take upcoming top teams seriously, however. Such teams will be getting the whole load, including some McVay wrinkles, I think.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn’t follow Goff’s career through college, but I’ve read articles by those who did. One impressive theme is repeated time and again. He improves year after year without exception. High school through college. That has continued through today. IOW, we still can’t accurately predict his ceiling. That seems beyond huge to me. Another important thing, I think, is that his teammates invarby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I watched the Cowherd/ Dilfer video. A very interesting watch, btw. FWIW, Dilfer is very impressed with Goff. He particularly remarked about Goff’s superior ability to process info both pre and post snap. Additionally, Dilfer went out of his way to praise Goff’s deep ball ability. Even declared that for his early stage in a career, it was the 2nd best he had ever seen! Now, depending onby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

NFL Week 3 power rankings: Rams rise following win, still not No. 1 Cameron DaSilva With their 34-0 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams moved to 2-0 – one of nine teams still unbeaten on the year. No team, however, has been as dominant as the Rams. They’ve outscored their first two opponents 67-13, including 57-0 since halftime of Week 1. Granted, they playby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Brandin Cooks, two other Rams make PFF's Week 2 Team of the Week Cameron DaSilva It’s no secret that the Los Angeles Rams have one of the best rosters in the NFL, if not the very best. The defense is littered with Pro Bowlers, the offense features Todd Gurley and the special teams unit – when healthy – is better than just about any in the league today. So it should come as no surprisby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
When Ram opponents sell out to stop Gurley, they will inevitably pay a heavy price in terms of passing yards given up. Rams have too many other semi-elite weapons that they can go to. And now it appears that our TE’s are about to join the party. Opponents have an excruciating pick your poison dilemma on every snap of every series because of Goff, the OL, Gurley, 3 WR’s, and now maybe a TE.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic If that's our biggest problem, we're in even better shape than I thought. Most teams don't pull their starting QB. They play the whole game. And we don't do a typical run out the clock offense when we get ahead. We still attack. I wouldn't change a thing. Excellent point about McVay preferring to continue to attack, SoCal. QuoteLMU93 I think he's good. Witten TBD. Very new and needs some time. I do like Tony Romo a lot as an analyst. I like Booger, too, 93. I think he’s refreshing, honest, and quite accurate in his commentary. Unlike so many of his contemporaries. Witten was a great player but is misplaced in the booth. Might as well not be there, IMO. Quotetroublefree When your team is way ahead, and it's the middle of the 4th quarter, isn't it about time to rest your quarterback? I mean if Goff got himself injured late in the game and was unavailable to play for weeks or even months, wouldn't the s---t hit the fan on this board, blaming the coach for jeopardizing the season? It appears that our opponents have consciously chosen to minimize elapsed time from snap to throw in order to partially neutralize our front 7 pass rush. They have tried to run the ball also to keep our pass rush honest and to try to increase their TOP which would keep our O off the field. Quoteden-the-coach Austin Blythe is a brute regardless of size, that moving pancake block on Gurley's score as time expired just before half, was a thing of beauty and should be put out there as a "How To." block and control the line of scrimmage. Quotemax Listen to the whole thing. He made it pretty clear. I did listen to the whole thing. He was diplomatically postponing a decision until later in the week. Now, it wouldn’ surprise me one bit if he starts Blythe, mind you. But it wouldn’t surprise me if he went with Brown, either, based on his presser answers. He kept both options open, IMO.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I played the vid of McVay’s presser and I didn’t hear Sean declare either as the starter, frankly. Instead, he complimented both players, called each a starting caliber RG and left the door wide open as to the identity of this week’s starter. A few thoughts occur, and in no particular order... Two wins is great, but these were not Top 5 teams that we defeated. So we need to temper our enthusiasm just a bit and see how we fare against the Chargers and Vikings.
