QuoteOld Goat I dunno, he made some nice 3rd down conversions and that 2pointer. There was rust there, but he got it done. My sentiments exactly, OG. Wentz showed a lot of rust but he did get the job done vs 49ers while playing with a lot of backups. So, let’s all tip our hats to the man.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Sean McVay not getting caught up in 'fun narratives' of facing Jared Goff, Lions Brock Vierra The NFL playoffs are full of storylines and it’s no secret that one of the best will be played out in Detroit. Here’s Andre… How good have the Rams been this year? All seven of their losses were to teams with winning records. All seven. 9ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Ravens, Bengals, Packers and Steelers. And every one of them other than the Bengals made it to the playoffs. No losing to inferior teams makes a big difference. And our wins included beating winning teams like the Niners, the @#$%& birds (twby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams open as 3.5-point underdogs vs. Lions in wild-card round Cameron DaSilva By beating the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams set up a first-round matchup with the Detroit Lions. It’s the wild-card game everyone was hoping for, pitting Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff against their former teams in a huge playoff contest. And that one loss was to the Ravens after their bye week while Rams took them to overtime. This Ram team is legit. Not saying that they’re gonna win SB, but I am saying that they’re gonna be a handful for any opponent.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams have allowed both Saffold and Corbett to walk in recent past due to salary demands. Both were good to very good OG’s themselves. I just don’t think Rams place high value on the OG position, preferring to invest more heavily in the ‘skill’ positions. So, if Rams can’t come to agreement with Dotson and choose to get their new starting RG in another way I will not fall out of my recliner.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteStafford9 It is a combination of talent and coaching. We have witnessed for years with no talent on the line we have no run game. Dotson is a must have, the idea that he is replaceable or that we can just replace him with a third or fourth round draft choice is ludicrous. Both AJ and Avila have played very well under Wendell. That’s 3 OL players that have prospered under Wendell. Sheltoby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Now consider this: if the Rams cut Noteboom and Allen they save $9.9M against the 2024 cap. They could do that, sign Dotson to the contract I laid out, and increase their cap space in 2024 by $2.9M. I fully expect both Boom and Allen will be goners after this season regardless of the Dotson decision.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
It will fall to the rookies on the LA Rams roster to show up big today. Bret Stuter When the LA Rams prepared for the 2023 NFL Draft, little did anyone suspect that the names of players called out during that two day event by the Los Angeles Rams would have so much burden them in the final week of the 2023 NFL schedule. But, here we are, and the Rams must face the NFC's best team, thby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram The scout in question is Brian Hill. "According to The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue, Scout Brian Hill said if Logan Bruss was still on the board come the franchise’s pick at No. 104, he would jump in the pool at their draft headquarters. .... True to his word, Hill walked out to the pool, took his shoes off and jumped in fully clothed. " From that same articleby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Actually, I’m not so sure that the scout who advocated so strongly for Bruss and later jumped into the swimming, pool, is still on Sneads staff. Moreover, there was a fundamental change in the type of offensive lineman that Rams wanted to start drafting. Avila probably would not have been a pick for the Rams prior to Wendell coming on board, in other words.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Rams are NOT letting Dotson go. Besides acquiring him for simply swapping down 1 round of late-mid round picks for 2 years, which means that they lose NO draft picks, this guy has been playing at an All-Pro level game after game. Big, young, consistent, a perfect fit. Is there a better RG in the NFL right now? The Rams WILL pay this man, because you just don't get so darn lby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Thoughts on why Wendell hasn't coached Bruss up? Silk purse out of a sows ear kind of situation? Even the best of coaches need a player with some talent to work with. I’m afraid that Bruss was a big draft mistake.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Does anybody seriously think that it was just a coincidence that Jackson, Avila, and Dotson have all had career years in the same season that coach Wendell took over this OL? Really? My point is that, if necessary, coach Wendell can rapidly coach up Dotson’s replacement, too. Therefore, Rams should draw a line in the sand on cap cost for their starting RG next year, Dotson or no Dotson.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Dotson's price will be as the best OG in FA. He has everything going for him. Age, experience, stats, health, size, you name it. Any thought that the Rams have to sign him at below market or you don't do it means you don't do it. I can't imagine the Rams not paying him full market. And they will. Here’s Allen2McVay… Couple thoughts about Wentz. At 31 (32 late in 2024), his options may be limited. A back-up role on a team coached by a strong offensive mind and skill position talent, behind a quarterback that may have durability issues, might be an ideal spot. If he has been difficult to coach, or simply plays off-script, then he is not for the Rams. He has had some excellent seby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
