If anyone wants to see anything I do, go to twitter I am not interesting in another season of lies and hate and obsession by two people. So you can have them. I wasted too much time trying to explain things but it is clear that, even though SHula's defense is worse in every way they will give him every benefit of every doubt, and do it with lies. Overpraising Shula to stab Morris inby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
I told you this thread would be hijacked. You and I were having a good discussion but someone had to talk about toilet paper. His and someone else's hate-filled obsession with Morris -- calling his stupid, a coward, soft. The contact lies And now you and I were talking about facts/ Well this board can have this--by JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit They'd fill a conference room full of barbecue and beer and hire a bunch of fans to run the team. Why waste good money on experienced offensive and defensive play callers? Can you imagine? It would be entertaining, the way clown shows are entertaining.by JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesix2stack I hate bend but don't break. It drives me nuts to see teams methodically march down the field unless it's our offense doing it. Pressure, pressure and more pressure is what I like to see. And my preference, since 2017 has been a 4-3 defense with DEs like a Quinn and Long and or Carter and Wistrom. But I don't get to pick who kind of scheme Rams run and I don't bemoan and besmirchby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
And the DTs for Seattle are capable ... and with a lew LBer they may be able to slow the run some ... I think Rams will do well enough, but no cakewalk .. like you mention there is going to be them trying to take advantage of youth and inexperience,by JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteleafnose that second clip gets close to hands to the face or that awkward arm that seems to go across the body of the defender and gets called as a hold doing whatever it takes --- he could have been close to a penalty, but he was fighting the whole wayby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteClassicalwit The Rams pass rushers are getting home, they are just very bad at tackling once they get there. If they could tackle better, they'd have 6-7 more sacks than they already have and would probably have a record of at least 4-3. We'll see what they can do going forward. they are taking longer to do it...2.92 second this year, slightly less the year before and significantly lessby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotekw13 this new aggressive style Defense. It's not new or more aggressive. Blitz rates slightly lower than in past 3 years. But basically the same, Recivers are slightly more open. Rams have to use more players up front to get worse results. So, there are some twists to the defense, but this myth that it is new and aggressive is not true. I reposed to a question below with the factby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteleafnose From my view The one thing that stood out to me as of recent, is Shula going heavy along the DL pre-snap. Sometimes lining up some 6+ guys at the LOS and making offenses look? To me, that's pretty gamey. So much football happens within the 10 yard line.....I like the look (going blitz look): It does make me anxious at times. I do miss John Johson III in the mix. Quotekw13 Evens got a game ball last week, he was awesome. I'm guessing we can get by for a game or 2 without him, but not great news. It seems like most teams now have a punter that can be a weapon. When you can reverse the field, especially if the offense doesn't keep the ball for long and the defense was just out there and tired. Pinning them deep can be just what the Dr. ordered.by JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com

a line drive punt returned, a blocked punt --- the odds are low, but in a 1-point game, one mess up can cost a free TD or even putting someone in FG range However, that being on the minds of the Rams, too, will help mitigate itby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com

In the month of October, the Rams Defense... - Finished the month as the number one scoring defense (15 points). - Led the league in opponent third-down conversion rate (20.0%). - Recorded four interceptions, tied for the sixth-most in the NFL. - Held offenses to 307.0 total yards per game, the seventh-fewest in the NFL including with the unit allowing just 104.0 rushing yards per game, theby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com

It wasn't about Verse but he was doing Manning Cast and someone flashed in and missed QB He said (roughly) "That guy needs to break down, get under control and put the QB on the ground" Verse, was not doing that at first. Quotesix2stack I think Hoecht is a good backup edge. He's played pretty well when called upon this year Not some other nonsense. Rams are lucky to have a 3rd edge that has experience in rushing and in the other roles that are called for. And heaven forbid if Young or Verse go down for a few games, he can step in and start in a crisis. He's a good asset.by JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteOld Goat Always liked Hoecht. The guy just gives it his all. Now that's he's back in the right role, he's showing up for the right reasons. last year Hoecht line up in the lot 6% of the time. This year it is 4.5% of the time but with the added ILBer stuff he's there about 8.7% of the time, last year that was less than 1% Or put another way he was an edge defender 93.5% of the time lastby JimYoungblood53 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteden-the-coach Don't get me wrong, I loved Bill Simpson, but the transition to Cromwell was the right move I think we agree. Looking at him he's effecient, not a super-powerful guy but uses hands well and feet good, too. A work in progress but has been a handy guy to have. I thought there were a lot of plays vs Min where you could say he was pushed around and didn't look great but in the end the line kept Stafford pretty clean.
