I thought his agents would have kept him out longer but perhaps Donald said no. My problem with Donald is the agents he chose. They are notoriously difficult to deal with. Everything is extreme hardball and lose-win. They probably do get the most for their clients but I doubt they would leave a deal thats "close" on the table either. So its not like they don't negotiate and I'm sureby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
On the surface, I would have preferred Jenkins over Johnson but I'm not in the locker room... on the field he's superior to Johnson IMO. But then I'm not losing sleep over losing him either. Watkins didn't produce big numbers in McVay's system... Not losing sleep there either. Donald won't be signed until the season starts... so other than discussing the possible contract numbers, IDK whatby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
All eyes are on them to hit a grand slam. Not a "fair" deal, IMO. My guess is that even if the numbers (20M - 25M yr) are market value, the guaranteed money will be historic. And I doubt this is really even on the front burner now anyway until a few weeks before the opener. My gut tells me something like $23M - $25M yr and $80M-$90M guaranteed. Maybe that is a fair deal... IDK, Bby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I doubt Donald will sign a fair market contract. But I think the agents wouldn't let it happen anyway. All eyes are on them to make a blockbuster deal with the leagues best defensive player. And any talk of Donald manning up and coming to camp is not logical. IMO, There is ZERO chance any agent would let Donald risk injury. It would be um let's say "highly risky" to jeopardize whatby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

That was rough. The Robinson pick was bad but at least it didn't come with a cap killer. If you were a bad team and you missed on your high 1st round pick... you got a bad player and a significant hit to the cap. That's a good way to win 18% of your games.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't know that it was a play on Natty Ice... Because hearing "Matty" out of that context, for me, is off-putting.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
He brought some respectability to the Rams and got them pointed in the right direction... basically he stopped the bleeding... He had experience moving a team. So once the Rams moved they let him go. All according to plan. lol maybe Bringing in McDaniels was probably the worst move. Then there were the Jason Smith and Greg Robinson picks... Just barely making it (or missing it) within the 1by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I hope its not just a one time thing. I have been dying to ask you... Did you know there is an Old Zealand? Except its Zeeland and its in the Netherlands... Its means Sea Land. lol ...Nice to get a JamesJM post. Good to see you.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
I saw players running down the field in Philadelphia just blow their knees out in the 90's due to seams in the carpet. I saw it at least twice and I'm sure once in pre-seaon. THOSE guys had a legit lawsuit, IMO. Bush, on the other hand, slipped on some concrete. Ram players slipped on it all the time. Stuff happens. That would be my choice. But if they used the scheme from the photos Speed posted that would be fine... After last year anything would be an improvement.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. He's been racing a long time... Tough sport.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
Jim Brown is to football? When I watch his triple crown races, each one is transcendent. I almost think his Preakness run is just as spectacular as the Belmont. Not sure I've witnessed anything equal to it... sports-wise. Although the Rams offense from 99-01 was pretty remarkable. :)by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
After $20 million each additional million seems less substantial.. like being at a car dealer and getting upgrades and the salesman says "you're already paying 30 grand why not get the heated seats?" I am almost in your boat with it and I almost went higher than I did (24 to 25) but I think my limit is 25.9M lol but if I saw him playing for another team, I'd think just a few more milby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I understand that market value will likely determine Donald's "value" but just playing devil's advocate: What is your "pay the man" limit just in case Donald's agents are playing hardball with dynamite... You let him walk at what point? How much difference does that extra million or two per year to keep you from going just one tier higher? I would really hate to lose Donald buby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
it suggests to me that they are fine with the "ball park" numbers and a deal will get done... unless maybe Mack signs for something considerably higher than expected.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
It may be true but Mack signing sets a bar. Starting to get the feeling that it doesn’t matter and that many fans are going to have to sit down for a moment when they hear the contract numbers. It will be interesting and I hope not a distraction. I wonder how many in the “pay the man” camp will have an issue with the contract.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that right? I haven’t read about any of their high profile clients not missing games or something. From what I can tell, Donald’s agents would be uncomfortable going for a win-win scenario. Based on this article I get the feeling that we are looking north of 23m. I would be surprised if this got resolved before game 1 and wouldn’t be surprised if Donald misses at least a few games.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
and I am not a Schotty fan at all... but considering Fisher... and how Schotty basically jumped off the boat to get away from him... In hindsight he probably did the best of any of the OC's Fisher had his thumb on. Anyway, with Wilson and a running game an OC will look pretty good in a hurry. IMO of course.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
that Mack's agents are waiting for Donald to sign and Donald's agents are waiting for Mack to sign? The one that signs first loses unless its an even more outlandish deal than already proposed... But if I were an agent I would want my player to sit out and definitely not sign until there is a number to beat... I would ask an impossible price and see if I get close. I can't think of one reasonby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
