Its amazing that these guys are playing these venues... Ben Folds and the Violent Femmes are playing at a small outdoor arena locally. There's a lot of artists playing there Steve Miller, Blues Traveler, Beach Boys, Diana Ross, Boz Freakin' Scaggs lol... Brian Setzer, Lyle Lovett, Buddy Guy... I'd probably go to any of those. But I really like Ben Folds so I will most likely go to that one.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
and I have to say I am so disappointed I didn't find this guitar earlier. I was always after the humbucker sound. But this is just so raw and awesome... and the playability for me is tops. Stupid Jimmy Page and his Les Paul... lol... He actually recorded most of his stuff on a tele with similarly wound pickups. Have you seen the Bose L1 PA systems? They look crazy portable. There was a parade the week before St. Patrick's Day and I thought I had missed it. I am a bit scatterbrained. I have my kids birthday, wife's birthday, Easter... and our Easter trip to Williamsburg or Hershey Park or Great Wolf Lodge... or something... and then there is Mother's Day. Meanwhile I am selling my car on Craigslist and also listed my house with a realtor. It's all so super fun! Prby Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
I get the the initial numbers were with incentives... but I wasn't expecting $6 million in incentives... that seems high... I was guessing $2 million in incentives. I watched most of the games from the 2018 season, focusing on Matthews. I wouldn't have gone over $5 million... so if they really got him for $2 million then that's really good. And Bortles at $1 million is really, really, good. Impreby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
But I'm not thinking Steve Young... maybe just a 3rd rounder if he plays lights out in preseason or has to fill in a game or two. I am in the corner that he didn't have much to work with in Jacksonville. A better scenario than QB's had with Fisher and the Rams but still not good. Put a 5 year starter, who has played almost exclusively in crap conditions and put him in McVay's QB uber-friendlyby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Wasn't it just a few weeks ago you were saying "In Snead we trust"? lol just kidding I don't get it either... I don't like the Fowler signing or Matthews... price-wise that is. Both are worth having on the team but WOW. I watched a good deal of Matthews last week and I was thinking $3.5 to 4.5... not over $5... which I would have given Barrett a shot at... Once they let Broby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I far as I know he hasn’t butt fumbled.... so it could be worse. I’ve watched a few games and Bortles has some good qualities. It would be very interesting to see what McVay could do for him. What if, for some crazy reason, he plays well... And all of a sudden he has trade value?by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
With a healthy Todd Gurley? The offense seemed to struggle a bit at times once his playing time reduced.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
It’s like when the Rams extended Tavon and Fisher said the contract reflected what they thought he was capable of producing. It will definitely bode better but how much better? Based on what the Rams paid him, they think he is going to have a major impact.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
He’s been serviceable I guess.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
It’s true that the sample size is small. But it’s large enough to show something... but nothing I have seen has given me confidence in him.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I’ve never thought much of Bortles. And he may have had his chances... but were they just chances with little opportunity to succeed. Could a good coach, or good coaching, make something out of him? I don’t know a lot about the Jags or Bortles. Just in my experience QBs are sometimes, to some degree, a product of environment and coaching.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
An active but average production type of player who will make the occasional impact play. That is what I read anyway. Here’s to hoping Fowler is worth the $7 to $9 million more than Barrett.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Then no worries. This is an offense that up to this point has used a lot of play action. And we’ve seen what happens to the OL and to Goff when defenses don’t respect the run. So maybe RBs are overrated for other teams but I’m not sure about the Rams. That said, hopefully Gurley can contribute and another RB can fill in. And maybe you’re right and it doesn’t matter. My take is that Brown isby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Hate for the Rams to lose him. He is a starter IMO and would play well for the Rams... The one reason I wasn't too concerned about Gurley's decrease in touches. I like CJ. He had a few nice games for the Rams. I would prefer to have Brown though. Surprised at how lost Kelly looked. Hope he gets most of the preseason carries.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Been watching a few Packer games. Matthews may have lost a step but its closer to half a step. He can still close quickly and he is still strong with the bull rush. He is quick off the ball and have an array of moves. But something from his game is lacking and I am attributing it to him just declining. He didn't play on a very good defense either and there were times he was double-teamed. He aby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
So was Foles, Keenum, Bradford, even some people said Goff was terrible... until they got better in a better environment. They turned out to be be quality backups who could win a few games. I am not a fan of Bortles, at all. But he's not necessarily been in a good position to succeed either, IMO. He doesn't need to be a star. The Rams need someone who can win a few games. That is not Mannion..by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I've watched a few packer games now from 2018 and he would be a major upgrade over Longacre. I don't know how fast he was but if he is slowing down then he must have been pretty damn fast. Problem is he was a starter. Most likely a backup behind Fowler with the Rams. He can play all over the field but I don't know how the Rams would use him. Not sure why he would come to the Rams but based onby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I might be comfortable with Noteboom and Allen as long as they bring in a serviceable vet. I’m concerned about the ability to run the ball to set up play action. I’m really concerned about Gurley.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I was/am more focused on pressuring the QB. He didn’t lack effort but he wasn’t an effective pass rusher. I would like the Rams to get that from that position. Not sure Fowler is the answer but he was a significant upgrade over Ebukam. I really hope Fowler takes a big leap forward this season. It would be spectacular to see a fierce outside rush paired with Donald.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought I saw enough of Ebukam that he could be a starter. But then preseason happened and it was starting to become clear that he wasn’t ready. I have little to nothing to judge Kiser or Oko. But if they were wrong about Ebukam who actually played a bit then I am taking it with a grain of salt when I hear they are confident in Kiser... although it’s perhaps a less important position.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
He was ok in preseason... and that was against second stringers and then was pretty bad during the season... although he did have some impact plays and shows some potential. But I’m pretty sure I read they were confident in Ebukam about this time last season.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

But it might take them out of the market for an edge rusher and they end up overpaying an average player. That said, there aren't many good players out there at that position. Houston? And of course it was probably close to the going rate for Fowler so if they wanted him they were going to have to pay a seller's market price. Overall not bad. I like Fowler. I am hoping his ceiling is reallby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
one guy would be doing most of it. I mean if a guy is playing 25% of the snaps and gets 4 or 5 sacks for the season, then why take him out? And if all the edge rushers can produce like that then you never had a problem to begin with.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I do think Fowler may have some upside but I'm not sure it's enough to put him near elite. And like you, I'd prefer not to pay or overpay for average production. I'd rather pay the money and get the proven vet impact player for $15+/yr. One thing that I was surprised by was Ebukam. I thought going into pre-season that he would play pretty well... Well he did about as much in pre-season gamby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
A 10+ sack guy who is consistently applying pressure. Neither Fowler or Barrett seem to be that guy. Nice to have on the team but I think the Rams need a game wrecker. After watching Fowler, he doesn't appear to have that ability. Haven't seen Barrett play but his stats look like Fowler's... Fowler was OK, made an occasional play and was an upgrade that was sorely needed over Ebukam. I think theby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

Thoughts fwiw 1. I would be surprised with Brockers salary if they were able to trade him. And I also don't know that he wasn't injured last season... Just don't have a feel for what's going to happen with Brockers. 2. Hard to believe that a team offered a 7th but balked at a 6th for Higbee. Also hard for me to believe the Rams would have accepted a 6th... but I don't value 6th and 7th rounby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
