for me that would mean our WR's are doing their job. Last year it sure seemed to me that Kendricks was targeted more toward the end of the season, and more importantly in crucial situations, and my guess is that it was because of our WR play. They'll be on the field together a LOT, I'm pretty sure. But I think Kendricks will fight hard for #1 on the depth chart... and by that I mean his 'play'. I don't mean the quality of commercials, (although that's true), but rather 'seeing' them. I watched the game on an internet feed, so no commercials... just blackouts during the commercials. When I had a C-Band sat. dish I loved it.. no commercials, OR, they just stayed live and didn't show the commercial. That was FUN. That's good perspective then, what I was looking for. Last time I was there was in the 70's... I'm curious to see it and see if it's changed. Doesn't really look much different to me in the photos I've seen... the giant scoreboard, of course. Things I 'remember' but may not be accurate... rather small and claustrophobic tunnels. the way I worded it, and then especially using Young as an example, made it sound like I was speaking of Goff as the second coming of Vick. But that's not what I 'meant'. 9r read it that way as well and then chose better descriptive words. Quite a few people have noted that in his debut - Goff didn't. Hmmm. If so, why? Because, as many writers like to say, "This ain't college, it's the Pros, so he can't"? I dunno. There is no denying that the game gets faster in the Pros, and you're obviously facing more talented defensive players, that's a given. When my son was about 13 or 14 he went to a gig with me.... Trailer Park, like a KOA, with a community hall on site. When there my son met a young girl his age and they hit it off. Spent the entire evening together.. sitting, walking, talking. Charlie noticed. And since then, I don't think there has been a big reunion, although there were some last minute get togethers involving a very few people. With age comes wisdom, that's what I keep telling myself. But it's true, I believe, that getting my hopes too high, or too low, really doesn't happen no matter how emotional I get during games, even preseason games. In the photo at the end of this post you can see Charlie, far right, black vest, turned up Cowboy hat. Charlie was quite a bit older than the rest of us. I'm not sure how much older, but at least a decade or so, perhaps more. Charlie was the 'salt of the earth'. and perhaps I'm seeing things through a veil of nostalgia, our coverage was once that way... or much closer anyway. Today we get a few in depth profiles of other athletes that I like, and I'm sure they ARE legit, but they seem so 'manipulative'. I wonder, am I remembering things accurately?
