I could see a possibility if they were able to get two number one's back, but I just don't see it happening. Everything points to them signing him. I think there will be a run on RB's today. Hard to say who might be there when the Rams draft. Not even sure which of the remaining backs I'd prefer. Have to go with the best available player that fits a need, I think. I think a lot of us on this board have different ideas on the levels of need for different positions. I've see in a few posts that the Rams appear to be interested in drafting him as a center. Aren't he and Brian Allen the same guy? I haven't seen him play, but everything I read about him makes him sound like a very similar player to Allen. Almost identical size and description of play. I guess in a way it makes some sense - if they like the attributes that Allen has, then they probably seeby RamBum - RamsFootballFans.com

I'd be really amazed if they got a late 1st (as this article mentions) or even a second round pick. I'd be more inclined to believe a trade if this were a normal year. I was already excited about the new season - now even more so! Draft is going to be fun as well. I'd be very surprised if the Rams didn't trade down from at least one of those second round picks. Understand your reasoning but I'd still grab an RB in the 3rd or 4th round. Maybe trade down with one of those 2nd round picks to come up with an extra pick, or just use one of our 3rd rounders. I don't see waiting to see what's available with a free agent. I like Henderson and Brown, but think we need another back to add to the mix.by RamBum - RamsFootballFans.com

With Cooks cap hit and the other changes, the only thing I can see is to modify Goff's contract for a lower cap hit this year and move some of that money into later years. Hopefully someone that understand the cap will let us know what other options there might be.by RamBum - RamsFootballFans.com
