I think I told you before about a time I was in Moab, Utah and drove off into the wilderness on a dirt road and then a few miles further after the dirt road came to an end... then I hiked further, maybe 7 or 8 miles in. I think just about anyone who had an experience like that would have also become a metal-head for life. I'm a lot older than you so my experience is obviously different. I had very little experience with music until I actually joined band in the 4th grade. I've mentioned it several times on this board.... "The Zodiac Killer" case is the one that intrigued me the most and it's by FAR the case I've read the most about. I still check in on it occasionally although I'm not expecting that they'll eventually find out who he was. I was in Europe when those murders took place. It was HUGE news, even in Europe. Then the monitoring and wait on the hunt for the killers. I followed all that but for whatever reason, because true crime DOES interest me.... once I learned it was crazy hippies I lost interest. I'm worried about it, very worried. He has never fully recovered from the knee injury he got last football season - NOR a good diagnosis. You got me there... never had an injury that bad. BUT.... did have some 'illnesses' that made the gig interesting. The worst involved bowel problems which I will not go into. Our record for gigs in one week was 11. Actually it started maybe 2 weeks ago? But our school had the first 3 meets cancelled due to weather. Today will be the first. My grandson is entered in the 100 and 200. He's also a long jumper but won't compete in long jump today. Saw an interesting Todd Sucherman video yesterday, (drummer), that had a swap during a tune. :laughing Not sure what happened... most likely a broken snare head, possibly the snare wires. Once you begin a gig.... compared to drums how do conditions affect your tuning? IOW... (and I won't try to list everything that can affect tuning)... how many songs can you typically get thru and remain in tune? Obviously that can vary.... outdoor vs indoor for example.
