A very good man. And a great boxer. There was a time I thought him invincible. Foreman/Frazier 1 (Down goes Frazier), for me one of the most shocking fights of all time, and most memorable. Then Foreman/Ali... and again, one of the most memorable fights of all time. George truly had an engaging personality.... you couldn't help but like that guy. Humble. Of course not just crime history. Just about any history. I think I told you before about a time I was in Moab, Utah and drove off into the wilderness on a dirt road and then a few miles further after the dirt road came to an end... then I hiked further, maybe 7 or 8 miles in. There I came across some petroglyphs. I considered that I might be the only person that had ever seen these particulaby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
when my youngest grandson gets home from practice (sports).... he immediately heads to the shower.... and then proceeds to serenade the entire house. The kid sings the entire time he's in the shower AND at full volume. :laughing Brings back some good memories. I spent countless hours in front of the bathroom mirror air-guitaring and singing Beatles tunes. Well, started that with the Beachby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
They entertained the thought that he had some connection with law enforcement, and/or military..... and well.... actually they considered everything. About every 5 years or so someone announces they've solved the case and know who Zodiac was. :laughing A few of them actually make a pretty good case.... most are just plain stupid. Problem, like all notorious crime cases, is that a lot of pby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think just about anyone who had an experience like that would have also become a metal-head for life. I'm a lot older than you so my experience is obviously different. I had very little experience with music until I actually joined band in the 4th grade. We had a record player at home but it was seldom used... and being so far in the boonies radio wasn't really an option. The firstby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I've mentioned it several times on this board.... "The Zodiac Killer" case is the one that intrigued me the most and it's by FAR the case I've read the most about. I still check in on it occasionally although I'm not expecting that they'll eventually find out who he was. It's possible.... but I think Zodiac goes the way of Jack the Ripper... we'll never know, not for sure anyway.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Later this month there is a chance I'll be driving by the Barker Ranch in Death Valley. That's where Manson was arrested. Extremely remote. It's very near a couple places I want to visit so I may stop by there..... we'll see.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I was in Europe when those murders took place. It was HUGE news, even in Europe. Then the monitoring and wait on the hunt for the killers. I followed all that but for whatever reason, because true crime DOES interest me.... once I learned it was crazy hippies I lost interest. (no diss on hippies, I was one at one time; just a diss on the 'crazy' ones :laughing ) I did get some interest latby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Ever read his book "And The Sea Will Tell"? (Be interesting to get Waterfields opinion of this book). Vincent defended a lady who was charged with murder. Very famous case... man and his wife were murdered on the island of Palmyra. Only 4 people were on the island at the time... the couple murdered and a younger couple. The younger couple man was charged and convicted of the murby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

are always arguing about who was the best athlete.. most successful. Actually they ALL have good points. All won games in the last seconds (multiple sports), all made league all stars, valley all stars. All played college... with my youngest still in high school. All set records. So what I do is... Sit back, listen to them argue, then end it - "Yeah, well, you guys are good, But youby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

If you've ever read a single post from me you'll know I'm the LEAST conspiracy theorists of all time. Lemme spell out my 'opinion'... not a WORD of it do I profess 'TO KNOW"... I only suspect it. as you say... it's manipulating prospective bettors. Odd makers ain't in it due to fan enthusiasm. :laughing So lets make a run at it ourselves. :laughing I think the Ram's should be the favorites in the NFC West... but then, I thought that last year and they started 0-4... and as much as I HATE admitting this I thought they were toast... or not quite toast but definitely on life-support.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
if not more so! I told this before but it's worth repeating.... I got to meet, one and one up close and personal, Danny Seraphine. Drummer for Chicago. It was quite by accident. He was giving a drum clinic in fresno at the drum store I use... I was in there just to buy sticks, had no idea he was there. Frankly... we've lost it. As a civilization we're toast. If a space rescue garners no more attention that this then lets hope aliens obliterate us before we infect other solar systems. You must be super-human. Been reminiscing a lot lately about my years playing music. I got to thinking about how many states I've played in and sadly... I'm not sure I can remember for sure. I can say this: NEVER did I play in Oklahoma... not in a band anyway. Played with some relatives in their backyard there. But actual gigs? Hmmm, Ok, lemme' try: For SURE... I was very happy for McIlroy... always liked him. At the same time... broken hearted for Spaun... what a tragic way to finish. Golf is like that for me... not like other sports. You got me there... never had an injury that bad. BUT.... did have some 'illnesses' that made the gig interesting. The worst involved bowel problems which I will not go into. swapping guitars that is. Saw an interesting Todd Sucherman video yesterday, (drummer), that had a swap during a tune. :laughing Not sure what happened... most likely a broken snare head, possibly the snare wires. Once you begin a gig.... compared to drums how do conditions affect your tuning? IOW... (and I won't try to list everything that can affect tuning)... how many songs can you typically get thru and remain in tune? Obviously that can vary.... outdoor vs indoor for example. I think drums are less vulnerable to conditions that can tweak you out of tune - STILL vulnerable but I'm guessing a littby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
saw meme today that regarded this topic but I'm not going to post.... gonna rant instead. :laughing Getting ready for a gig....evolution was able to take a fish and turn it into a bird in less time that it takes a guitar player to tune.
