They seem like one of those team of destiny stories right now, or at least the loveable underdogs. Lindor would be MVP if Ohtani didn’t exist. If Alonzo heats up they’re even more formidable. I’m no expert but I think the Mets have a really good starting rotation, Overall the Dodgers seem to have the more talented roster though. Go Blue Jays!

It is absolutely beautiful in every way. I had to work hard not to ugly cry several times. So many messages beyond the surface. Amazing animation. Best movie I’ve seen in quite some time.

With the beefing up of the interior oline, I was excited to see the Rams establish a running game early this year. However, it seemed like they weren’t going to have any luck versus the Lions. Yeah, not a terrible draft by any metric. Late round picks who are still kicking around the league and Atwell, Jones and Brown are still important pieces on their teams. Aside from the Rams not taking Creed Humphrey, I don’t have any major criticisms regarding this draft.

Up here, we Canadians know that our best hope for success in the men’s 4 x 100 is the Americans struggling with the exchange. What a race! De Grasse had to fight for it on the anchor. Nothing was decided at that point. My favourite moment of the Olympics.

We had a nice winter last year, but the last few winters up to that were pure hell. I questioned my sanity for choosing to live here on a daily basis. The six months of freezing temperatures make me really appreciate the other six months though. It also makes me appreciate family trips to warm beaches.

Additionally, I found the coverage on Canadian TV (CBC) cringey. They were interviewing athletes on the boat and it just felt uncomfortable for me, not sure that I can articulate why I felt that way, but that’s just how I felt. I’d have much rather watched them walk into a stadium, I felt like I was watching a bad version of the Rose Bowl Parade on water.

The shots on goal were pretty even. I don’t know how the high quality shots in net compared, but that seemed pretty equal as well. Barkov had a goal disallowed that on an offside review that was barely offside. So it was a tense game throughout. Excited for Monday, but I have no predictions.

Great actors can make anything better. I had never heard this story before seeing this commercial. He had me enthralled from the beginning, so much so that it didn’t even occur to me that a punchline was coming. To see them outshoot Florida 13-4 (or whatever it was) in the first period was a pleasant surprise. All season, even when they were winning games before the all-star break, the Bruins were getting outshot, sometimes quite badly.
