I'm glad the Camp practices are still interesting some of you guys....so, I'll try and go again by myself... there are only a few practices left I think.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Mannion has been a good example of how a player grows in his 2nd year. Yes, he doesn't move around alot, but is nimble in a short area and does exactly as you say...he slides/steps up, slides a half step and micro-adjusts in the pocket 2nd best to Goff. Keenum is the least physically able QB to me, compared to Goff & now Mannion....however, Keenum is very sharp and knows where to go withby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
cuz Alyo has been talking him up to me since we signed him...and I'm very curious to see if I agree with Alyo on Hill. Duke & McRoberts are interesting to me cuz they have very sure, vice-like hands when they catch. They are strong to the ball.... which as an old/ex QB I value greatly! Spruce and Higbee have the same style of catching - Hemingway was a revelation in the practice we saw.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I was sitting next to Alyo and we reality checked every play. We see things a bit differently sometimes, but this practice I agreed with a lot/most of his post below. First off I really only watched the QBs & WRs mostly...along with the LBs/DBs covering..... cuz without pads/hitting all it can truly ever really be is flag football with 7-7 and even when 11 vs 11. So, with that saidby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
For better or worse...that's what I think. Britt is good. Quick is not consistent enough and after 4years...it's not good enough anymore. Quick has incredible physical talent and really glides and can make great catches...but the drops come at the worst times. imo I think Quick is gone by the end of Summer...and that's okay, cuz there are other guys that we have that can drop the ball tooby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Quick will be cut. imo Higbee had the catch of the day - being hit hard by Tree at the goal-line....but hanging on(hear that, Cooper?!) in a RZ drill off a PA pass from Goff. Most of the QBs success will be off PA and when the stick their foot at the top of their drop and throw the ball. IF any of our QBs do NOT throw immediately from the top of their drop...bad things will happen. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully we CAn meet at some point in the next year or two. I would loe to meet you and anyone else here who Alyo & I have been reading for over a decade!! now worries tho...we'll getcha next time. ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
..when they seemed to get panned constantly! Jenks & McCleod, I mean. Folks would always rip them for being out of position...and now that they are gone.. they seem to be held in higher regard now. lol Slot CB - Joyner will be put back in the slot - where he excels. CB EJGaines looked rusty but talented and will man the opposite spot from Tru just fine. FS - MoWilliams might be a lby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
so if anyone wants to meet up...let us know!! Let us know what yer wearing so we can find you! I'll be wearing my "Cancer Sucks" t-shirt and blue StLouis Rams hat ....with a silver Bottony Cross of Maryland on it(I'm a CivilWar nut).by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
But B&Ws for every game....I'd lose interest as they would not be the team I love. Funny...but kinda true. It'd be like changing uniforms back to when I didn't follow them. The B&Yellow unis are the mesh point, for me. I'd follow another team probably...if the Rams did that. imo All the newness of a new move stadium, etc and we go back to B&W unis?!!!! I'd wander off. It's jby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Our offense looks much more solid....with a higher ceiling than last year.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
it can sometimes cause a slight pause in the defender...and in a game of inches...it may help.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
whom we took in the supplemental draft and he came out very raw. Being in an NFL strength/conditioning program and an off-season or two are BETTER than Junior & Senior years of college in a way. There is a comfort level and learning that is put in place and the player grows into the pro game. It just takes a bit of patience for teams....which is fine with me.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
after which all rookies are fair to be judged by the 3 year rule of grading drafts. Let's see how he finishes year 3.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Man, PS is not even fun for me cuz of th fear of injuries to our starters. I really wish they would have only 2 PS games and switch the last two PS games to Regular season games!! For some reason, if a player is hurt when the game counts...it doesn't bother me as much. Odd but true. It's like injuries are the cost of doing business in the Regular season games..but at least, the games count.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Hell, PRivers has the goofiest looking passing motion...and throws darts! Warner wasn't so hot imo...but it's about getting ball to the right guy in time and making a play. I was NOT a Mannion fan cuz I didn't like his style, slow-footed and weak armed... but his arm looked stronger and he was making accurate throws from the pocket and stood until the last minute. I was impressed with his pby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
not as quick as Amendola but gets enough separation to be effective... and he catches EVERYTHING!!! Higbee's hands looked like vices too. Great call on Higbee...but, I'm not sure about Cooper...he has an awkward motion when he runs which is fine if he catches everything...but when he doesn't, Cooper is not fun to watch. ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree R2K...that was madness and completely irresponsible. ps - imo Quick will be cut this Summer. imo Britt is in his last year too....but may re-sign IF he has a career year. ...but it's most likely his last year too.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
It's appropriate to do that when yer gonna get the snot knocked out of you... otherwise, yes hands catching is the rule!!!by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
if I'm feeling up to it. I'll let you know the closer we get, R2K....if yer gonna go too. It would be great to meet you and other HERDers(Shephards?)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Just when we fans think they have an easy game against unkowns... those same unknowns gash us for career games!! lol It'd be funny if it weren't so freakin sad!!! ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
The QB has done his job and the WR must do his. The WR about top get blown up???? Whatcha think the QB sees in his periphery as he lets the ball go?..... a DL coming to break his ribs! A QB must stand tough/take the shot he knows is coming and make the throw .... and the WR has to man up and take the hit after he catches it! Them's the Holy rules of Football. ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and tackled the RB. Easley was the first guy to move after the snap and sliced thru the C/G, the FB and threw the RB to the ground. Anyone else see that play? Or did I dream that?! LOLby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
naw..both are kept. imo Westbrooks & Longacre stay too. Seau is PS. Thomas is cut.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and why do I feel that Spruce would have held on to that post route that Cooper dropped?! Despite the hit?! I really think he would have. imo Also, I thought Spruce looked slow, but he separates on game-day and is open enough to make contested catches.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
on 3rd down. Higbee and McRoberts looked solid too! Those guys do the grunt work of grinding down the field and keeping drives alive.... TA is for taking shots now and again against good mismatches. So, we agree! ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
rather than losing it!!! ....as I know the many posts would revel in Fisher's continued failure if the Rams lost - even in PS. The PS are just practice games and are for learning and reps for the younger guys. imo It's PS...it's best not to get too high when they win.....and don't get too low when they lose. PS is nuthin like the Regular season...which double the speed and intensity of tby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I thot they played well inside for the most part. And man, Easley was really quick - first one off the ball like Donald when he made that tackle for loss play against the RB sweeping left. Easley just blew up the whole play - like Donald does! Coples played strong to inside Seau had two sacks(really imo)... Westbrooks had one Longacre was graded as the best DE in by PFF in the NFL forby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
BS would get tackled for a loss two or three times in a row...and then break one for a TD. Tavon is the same way. imo He's not Sanders but that type of feast or famine player that will spark your team when they need it. they can throw to Spruce or Higbee for 3rd down conversions....and TA is the game-breaker! imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
