Quotemerlin Philly: first year coach and GM that are not worried about losing as Wentz starts learning on the job. LA: 5th year coach and GM that ARE worried about losing as Goff learns on the job. If you reversed Goff and Wentz it would be the same exact deal IMO. Goff would be starting, I am sure of that, because that is the fastest way to learn the position. QuoteTonyHunter87 No , I think it's so his contact isn't guaranteed. They did the same with C. Reynolds last season. But that might be after week one lol. Not completely sure. A guy like zn would know. though I'm sure it was to save money, I think the guarantee thing is only after they are signed two weeks after the reg season starts...they prolly just brought him back at a reduced rate. eitby Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com
It's pretty bad when Eric Davis makes you look dumb... TD sounds ignorant on just about everything he spoke about. Rams NEVER anointed Goff the starter from day one. Wentz is only going to start because they traded 2016 away for a 1 and 4...by Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with a lot of what you say, but to say at the end that he could be a playoff team with a better QB, is well, letting him off the hook for all his short comings IMO. Not that it's wrong, it's right. Most coaches look like a genius or a loser based on how their players play....having a stud QB usually makes good coaches great and bad coaches good.by Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_81 He does plenty well. Personnel Game day. Motivates defense. Special teams make big plays. Improved talent on roster But he is a F on offense. Brings a GPA Down considerably when you fail one of your classes. I wouldn't go that far...he did draft Gurley and traded up for Tavon, it's not like he hasn't tried....losing Bradford back to back years was a killer.by Rampage2K- - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotemoklerman as much as I am about the coach, assistants, personnel, scheme and playcalling. Put Goff just about anywhere else and he'd be ready to start or at least look like he's ready to challenge for the job. Quotewaterfield It ain't there job to produce pro ready NFL qbs. Their job is to win football games and the more they do the more the alumni is happy and the more they are happy the more dough comes into the athletic departments. Jay Mohr is funny, but he was brutal in this type of show...it was live and it was the first one, so maybe it will get better, but it was awkward. The best part of the show is when the just air the show "Rams Nation", the behind the scenes stuff with the players.. It was cool when they did a piece on my buddy Sal and his Golden Ram barber shop. QuoteHighPlainsDrifter It's more how they are perceived. Lynch and Wentz were major projects coming in while Goff was the most NFL ready of the group. Maybe in the whole draft. I think the Rams tried to do the same last year with the boldness of the Foles trade, but it backfired as Foles imploded. They also made a huge move in this offseason if you have forgotten.....I applaud them for making that move.
