What a class, its like a kid going to an ice cream shop and not being able to decide on a flavor because they all look so good. I think we are on the same page this year, so not much to add. Andru Phillips Kentucky 710 71.7 Feisty competitor, 4.48 but quick acceleration (1.51 split) and burst 42 vert. He could easily slide but I like him as a 4th CB Caelen Carson Wake Forest 650 73.7 DNP ... bummer. Might work well for us, he'll slide and he has really good tape. Nothing a shot of cattle antibiotics can't fix. Anyhow, I have so little to add since we are seemingly on the same page this year. I might touch on a few. Audric Estime Notre Dame 388 94.2 I wanted him to run slow .. he did. He showed great burst numbers. I have him targeted if we trade down and nab a 4th rounder or extra 3rd. A consensus top 3 WR coming into the combine. Yes, even by me. In fact, I remember being wowed by his athleticism during testing and drills. Absolutely fell in love with this kid. He measured 6'-2 1/2" 215 lbs.33 1/4" arms and 9 1/4" hands. Great size and length for the position. Testing: 4.45 40, 1.51 sec 10 yard split, 36 1/2" vert, 10'-5" broad jump, 17 reps. As far as Milton, we all knew his arm was a rail gun. Howitzer doesn't even begin to describe it. He needs to get more accurate and I wonder if he can read a defense. But I mocked him to the Rams in 1.0 on day 3 simply on athletic upside. Where I picked him, if he fails, no harm no foul. RB Isaac Guerendo, Louisville - not gonna lie, he came out of nowhere to me. Build and keep a very good OL not only to keep Stafford upright, but when the time comes for his replacement, you already have a OL in place to protect the new guy. Bradford got the crap beat out of him because they never had the OL fixed. Look at David Carr as another example. I'm still running thru combine footage, as I spent most of the weekend in and out of the hospital with my future father in law. Nothing real serious, but hard to watch a combine while traveling and/or in the hospital chatting with doctors. whether it's gap discipline or eye discipline, they run so much motion, to get you going right when it's left and vice versa, maintain your gaps, trust your DC to put you in a winning position and execute. and tackle. finish that said I want a monstervin the middle that commands or demands double teams. A kid like Puka, or Young or Turner. They all just love football and work their tails off every day. He may not have that flexion in his ankles to flatten the edge and turn a 90 degree corner to the QB, but he is super advanced with his hand usage, changing his pace and angles from which he attacks. Specifically a LG. He can get upright too often and when he does that, he loses all his leverage. As the saying goes, low man wins. Even though I think he is a very good athlete for the position, speed did give him issues from what I saw. Resign Dotson as a top priority, great. Resign Shelton for 2 more years meaning your interior line is set through 2025. But then you draft Beebe to be your LG of the future in the 2nd round? Last year I was in love with Drew Sanders for the same things you are talking about now. Sanders led Arkansas in tackles 103ish and sacks 9.5 playing the MLB spot. I thought you could have him line up next to Jones inside and move him outside on passing downs as a pass rusher. And I still think Wilson is a 3rd rounder just like Sanders. And again, we are off on maybe 2% of players. I couldn't pull it off ... I usually try to get one out after the Senior Bowl, but I got keyboard tied every time. First, I can't without trading down with that first pick. Next, there are too many guys close at WR and CB for me to do it without seeing times from the combine. Super smart. Nasty demeanor on the field that I love. Not dirty, but he wants to dominate you for 60 mins and for you to know you were dominated. After I realized he had played OC, I immediately thought this guy could be my OC1. I think he could be a OC, a OG or a OT in a pinch and not let you down.
