IMO, for the reasons you mentioned above, I am not a huge fan of PFF for their blocking grades and in general because even with guidelines, its subjective and you have multiples grading. However, if you use it as a tool in your toolbox, along with the other tools in your toolbox, it can be very useful. Is Kyren the best blocking back in the NFL? No. Is he better than average. Maybe if a guy like Jalen Milroe is available in the 4th round, take a swing at his upside. Regardless of his arm talent. But, beyond that no. Not this year. I think every year is different. 1. Rams don't have picks in rounds 2,5 and 7. Rams have done a nice job of plugging holes, but holes still need plugging and depth needs help at some spots as well. 2. My 2025 Big Board A few notes before I get to the list: 1. I have seen every player. Some guys I have only seen in the Senior Bowl. Others I have seen a ton. So my grading is not perfect. A reminder, not every draft class is comparable to the other ones simply due to too many variables, including depth of blue chips, overall strength of draft, depth of each position group. So 2018: Tremaine Edwards - 7th overall. He graded out higher than Campbell Roquan Smith - 10th - also graded out higher Leighton Vander Esch - 21st. I'd prefer to get a guy in so they can get as much time learning as possible under McVay and Stafford. That also means not having to throw the QB into the fire with no seasoning. Thats a very under rated aspect of getting a QB now, like 43 said. On top of that, here are some other points: 1. You will NOT get a bluechipper at 26. Won't, Can't. unless a guy the Rams didn't expect seeing drop, dropped. Like Loveland or Warren or a WR like Golden. DB Barron feels like a great fit for LA as well. I have no notes on him I can find from the draft. He tore his achilles in 2020, then had a rough statistical 2021 before injuring his shoulder. He ran a poor 4.86 and didn't test well at the combine from what I have read. He was a team captain, a green dot guy, but he lacks range and is limited by his athletic profile not matter what his instincts are. The senior bowl answers some questions, like can a D2 player compete with the big guys. How do they handle a pro style offense? How do they interview?
