In a Weaker 2025 Draft as well - 10 months ago
We also paid to get someone now instead of next year. There are multiple things to consider, but the "Stafford" window is now so making every pick count is about the now. I had a problem with it when we did the trade but am better with it now. All good if this guy pans out. We are gonna need LT and WR high next year. We only have two receivers under contract for 2025, Kupp & Nacua. They had to draft one this year, just too many needs early and didn't do this until the 6th round. 2025 Draft Needs LT-WR-ILB-CB - 11 months ago
I absolutely care, but it was necessary to get Fiske. We will only have 3 Wr,s under contract and no LT signed. And we are losing our starting ILB to free agency if he's not resigned. So draft priority is LT-WR-ILB-CB in that order. Would been nice to have the second, but I would have done the same to get Fiske.by azramfan - RamsFootballFans.com

Broke his leg in the fall. Couldn't run at the combine but think he ran a 4.42 later. He probably won't last too long in round 2. My guess the injury pushed him down along with all the offensive players taken in round 1. Kool Aid McKinstry is still available too.by azramfan - RamsFootballFans.com

If they could get Brian Thomas in the first or Ricky Piersall in the second I would be ok with that. Otherwise, I don't want them drafting a WR until the 3rd at least. I think they will draft one somewhat early and a second in the later rounds.by azramfan - RamsFootballFans.com

Joe Alt is an ex tight end who lacks sand in his pants. I saw a DE just back him up and run over him this past year. That said, Martz is no judge of college talent, that's for sure. He's an option for sure. I don't want a trade up in the 1st rd. I think we have to get our pass rusher then, especially after the loss of AD. If Turner, Verse, and Latu are gone at 19, I might opt for Chop in a trade down from 19. Looks like he has it all but the production in college. He doesn't get his salary since he retired. No roster bonus, but it looks like he gets other bonuses. Spotrac has it listed but it's complicated for me to figure what the total cap hit is for this year and next. So he did a restructure today or yesterday to free up 9 mil this year only to kick that into 2025. Then he retired? What is the total hit for 2024 and also 2025? He's intriguing. Played LT with 33 3/4" arms. 6-5, 320 and didn't allow a sack in 2023. Practiced all positions at Senior Bowl including center. Supposedly very strong and a good athlete, can move.by azramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
