QuoteAlbaNY_Ram QuoteRamsdude I would've fired Blackburn, Ward and put Evans back on Punting only duties. The Rams do not have anyone else that can hold. The only practical solution to getting a new holder is to cut Evans and sign a good punter who is also a good holder. They didn't have anyone else who could long snap either. Maybe they could've found another holder and cut a player (noby Ramsdude - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Quoteden-the-coach However, when you miss 39 yard FG's and extra points a change had to be made. I agree. I would just prefer the changes to be Ward and Blackburn rather than Ward and Karty. (Sadly, no one from the Rams has asked my opinion ...) Evans is/was a big part of the problem. QuoteAlbaNY_Ram The NFL is trying to encourage more kick returns. The thought behind spotting a touchback at the 35 is to entice teams to kick into the landing zone - between the goal line and the 20 - and have the other team return the kick. I have to believe that Mevis could kick the ball shorter if he was asked to. Apparently the Rams thought that trying to cover the kick would likely leby Ramsdude - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDaJudge ...spotting the damn ball at the 35 on touchbacks. That's just too much territory, expecially with FG distances today. That's why I wasn't a fan of us kicking every kick into the end zone last week. Mevis kicked in the UFL so he should be able to handle it. I would even be cool with it if Karty kicked off and Mevis handles FG's. Didn't that Little dude just kick a 68 yarder witby Ramsdude - RamsFootballFans.com

Here's a great vid of Poona Ford. Seems like a really cool dude! Was he worth signing? Has he made a difference in stopping the run like he was brought here to do? QuoteCoy Bacon Yes, I saw that 49er run through Landman and thought he's not living up to the hype. Our LBs core's bar is very low, so even a good lineback is going to shine when compared to Reeder. Landman's ability to cause turnovers might have inflated his value. Maybe rightfully so, because turnovers can be game changers. Now, do his turnovers outweigh his mistakes/weaknesses??? Quoteheadslapper I think his perfected kick off was a huge advantage that we lose when we have Thiccer Kicker in. I also hate watching Dicker on the Chargers do so well knowing we let him go too early If Dicker was 60lbs heavier, would he be the "Thiccer Dicker Kicker"??? lol I have a feeling good old Blackburn didn't exactly help Mr. Dicker much. QuoteRampage2K- We need Eagles to lose will be most helpful for HFA Not sure the Rams ever had a HFA since moving back. Certainly not against Philly and the whiners. I love the flexibility the 13 personnel brings us. We have 4 very good TE's that can all make plays and the cherry on top of the Sunday??? It helps keep Puka and Adams fresh and the lessens the risk of injury. Click link to see vid... linkby Ramsdude - RamsFootballFans.com
That 4th and 1 stop was amazing! Our entire defense is amazing. Our defense is fun to watch again and it's a defense that other teams fear instead of looking forward to playing. There are no more "freebie completions". No more "gimmies" on short yardage plays. Still not sure Shula gets the credit he deserves. QuoteNewMexicoRam ...the Rams have given up the 2nd fewest points in the league. Even with that mini-meltdown yesterday. It's a shame that Aaron Donald couldn't play in an aggressive style defensive scheme like Shula's. His stats would've been even greater!!! Not ready to show them "love" just yet. Our kicker simply did what all kickers should be able to do 99.9% of the time...kick XP's.
