If not, then it probably means Goff is no longer the undisputed starting QB for the Los Angeles Rams.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Goff fits better with the game plan this week.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Great people to tailgate with! Looking forward to coming to a game in 2021!by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Akers has freakish acceleration and decent top end speed. Hendy can hit the hole at near top speed and carry it all the way to the end zone. But when we play against quarters coverage there is usually going to be a defensive back making a tackle 20 yards downfield. Go back and look at Hendy's highlights at Memphis. The kid can fly!by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
It is really not even close. When Akers gets up to speed watch out. Akers (patient and elusive) is a great change up to Hendy (attacking). Brown is JAG. But he is a professional RB that can be trusted at anytime of the game to be in the right place.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Where did you coach? You sound like a defensive back coach. I like your game plan.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Staley needs to figure this out. Rapp should replace Kenny Young whenever possible.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
we need to support the good ones.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Staley needs to get this right. Playing Rapp as a deep safety is a mistake. Rapp is a playmaking box safety. That is his natural position.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Reeder should replace Young on run downs. Rapp should play on passing downs. But Staley does not like Rapp in that role for some reason.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Our TE's are our best athletes. Use Everett and Higbee in the RZ. Maybe Reynolds could catch a fade now and then. Use woods or Kupp as a decoy.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams don't have easy buttons in the red zone. No jump ball specialist (think Mike Evans). No dominant run blocker (think Roger Saffold). McVay will have to X and O other teams and install new red zone plays as the season progresses. I would suggest more quick huddles and Everett/Higbee combo routes. Our TE's have high upside in the red zone. Krupp and Woods have good agility but are not backby mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
When was the last time we could say that? And Malcom Brown is a pass pro and short yardage specialist. RBBC works.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
As you say, that takes a special player to block ISO. But the defense will have to consider him from here on out. Next week someone else will be open.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
It's Niner week. Let the hate begin.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah that guy! He was so boisterous last year. But the cameras seem to have lost him on the sideline this season.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
We see his mug when the Rams play the Whiners. But not so much today. Huh. Seems kinda weird that way. Do you remember Robert grandstanding last year during that first contest in the Coliseum?by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
My friends blame me. Like I have anything to do with McVay's game plan.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Sure looked like it :(by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
I apologize for dissing him last year. The kid improved a bunch and showed that he belongs in the NFL. Our coaches do a great job of coaching up talent. We are pretty lucky to be fans of a team that is so well coached.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Hope you and your family are well! We had a blast tailgating with your crew last year!by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
He covers well as a nickel backer. His lack of speed hurts his deep safety capabilities. Staley needs to figure this out today.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Taylor Rapp is our best inside linebacker. He plays downhill. He slips blocks in the run game and rarely misses a tackle. In the pass game he can erase the #3 receiver. Take a look at his film and notice how natural he plays the position. Obviously he is not big enough to play every down inside. But, with Kiser limited and Fuller returning, Staley needs to move Rapp back to his natural position.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Sounds like Staley is similar to Son of Bum in his approach to defense. I actually prefer that style. Run fit, tackle, prevent the big play and get off the field. If Lewis can add an edge dimension then this system will blossom.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow! That was a bad stretch of fumbles. Looks like McVay has addressed the issue by limiting the number of long-developing pass plays. Maybe Goff can be a West Coast offense type QB? He wears #16 so that can't hurt.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Fortunately, his head coach knows that. McVay learned a lesson last year. Protect Goff. Run the ball. Move the pocket. Improve the screen game. Let the defense grind it out if necessary. Last week's win vs NYG is a sign that McVay learned a lesson last year. Expect more of the same on Sunday.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
got a link? mine dont work this yearby mikeguman - Game Time Forum
Seems like it was not a fair competition.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
FWIW, here is his pro day: IMO, he is athletic enough to play in the NFL. He is an SDSU captain and an All-American so the Rams know what they got. He could end up being similar to Jordan Fuller in the near future.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow. What a wonderful player. I really enjoyed watching Slater drive block his man 3-5 yards downfield on a regular basis.by mikeguman - RamsFootballFans.com
