I agree. They used free agency and the trade for Cooks to make immediate upgrades. Cannot do that every year with high picks. You need the lower salaried players in those spots. I definitely want their 2019 1st rounder kept. They made longer term depth and talent addition moves in this draft.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, maybe. Still dont see having an 11 man draft class. But maybe it means an extra strong PS...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would hope so. Four guys they pick here will not make the team. Get a 2019 5th if you can. After all, Talib was acquired for a 5th...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

Not bad value at 176. Takes Austins roster spot.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
They have to do something with packaging these picks. Don't need any more than 3 of them.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, Westbrooks and Easley are both UFAs after this year so maybe he's a bottom of the roster guy they look to take on a bigger role in 2019.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Now time to start packaging some 6ths to move up or for 1-2 2019 picks.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree. I'm good with Noteboom and Allen. This one didn't make sense value-wise to me at 135.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, he was about 190th on my draft list I posted which I cut off at 175. I like Adams a lot too and thought he could be a 6th round option. I wonder how Allen compares to Clapp from LSU? Agree about the wrestling background being a plus. And having an older brother in the NFL does give him a bit of a head start as far as knowing how to prepare, what's coming, etc. So there is that.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I have always believed part of the formula for drafting OL is guys with 30+ starts.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamBill Vincent Bonsignore@DailyNewsVinny I'm not saying the #Rams lit candles last year praying the O-line stayed healthy, but let's just say everyone understood the major break they caught in avoiding injuries on the O-Line as depth was an issue. They are addressing that so far in the draft with an OT and now C. Smart... 38 starts. Big 10. Recipe for a good OL.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. 40 starts and a good Senior Bowl and Combine showing are good signs. Developmental guy but, well, when you're taken 89th you're a developmental guy. He does enter a good situation with Kromer, Whitworth, etc. Give him 15-16 months in an NFL conditioning program to get stronger. I do think he is likely automatically a better 3rd OT for them this year than Darrell Williams.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Joseph Noteboom, OT Senior, TCU A name that was only somewhat on the radar prior to the season but has been creeping his way up is Joseph Noteboom, a 5h year senior and three year starter from TCU. In his first year on the left side, he has showed consistent foot speed and technique. The ultra-wide wingspan and easy kick slide make him a tough guy to beat off the edge. Not at 111 but maybe in packaging the two late 4ths to move up.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah he is not an exciting pick but at 89 he is a logical pick. OL depth was a serious issue for this time. And they may still need some interior OL depth. But when you take a guy there you can develop, learn from Whitworth and Kromer, get stronger and ideally have as a 2019 starter it is again a logical move. And none of the LBs I was looking at went in the 11 picks afterward. They have theby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I like Carter a lot too but I think he is gone by the early 50s. And Rams are not trading up higher than maybe 75 at most in my opinion.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. In the late 4th I would consider him for sure. That is where you want to grab good ST players and he should be very useful there.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Best guard in the Draft in my opinion. Unless Browns take him at 33 which would be good for them too.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
... is they will move around quite a bit. Up from 87, back from 111 (probably adding yet another 6th) and then packaging some 6th up into the 5th. I think in the end they end up with one 3rd, two 4ths, two 5ths and two 6ths.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I look at players with overall rankings between 60-85 and I will bet around 7-10 of them are still there at #87.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the desired answer would be trade down. But honestly, the guy New England took at the Rams spot (Wynn) would have been a nice pick. At minimum their OL's 6th man for 2018 but could very well start at LG and push Saffold over to RG, with potential to become their LT down the line. Not a sexy pick but solid choice.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
