Sure, or Houston. Kerrigan got his production in about 2/3 as many snaps as Houston. They're less than 6 months apart in age. I see them as pretty much the same. The point is the defense could use situational pass rush help for sure.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would hope the number for coaching and all training and support staff is 95% by now. And for players it should be by June.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would take Kerrigan as a situational pass rusher for sure...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. Who can be that rotational guy on the DL that comes in and can play both the run and pass rush reasonably well? I feel good about their run defense and the secondary overall but the pass rush is a big question mark.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Only thing about that game is the Rams were so bad I was already pretty numb by that game. The season opener RamGator mentions was awful because it was the season opener and, as he said, by halftime you knew that not only the game but that season was over. Tough to swallow. But yeah, 40-0 at halftime was brutal....by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
That one never bothered me much because (although they were upset in the Super Bowl) that Washington team was a wagon- far and away the best team in the NFL. The Rams were around the 7th best team in the league I'd guess and had already won a road playoff game in Dallas 6 days earlier. Losing @WAS in those playoffs (badly), weather in the 20s, etc. was a pretty likely outcome.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I would bet EDs 2105 goes down sometime in the next decade. Just the way it goes. In fairness OJs 2003 went down because of 16 vs 14 games. Dickerson broke his record at the end of game 15 in 1984.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
The best pick from that Draft ended up being Conwell. The issue with both Banks and Kennison is each was actually pretty good for rookies in 1996- the problem was neither one got better from there, they got worse...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's a fair point. Though the guy they took at 57 last year- Van Jefferson- played quite a bit out of the gate. I would definitely expect a pretty finite role for Atwell early on and hopefully expanding it as the season progresses. It will also depend on how healthy Jackson stays.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Will that show up (bedsides AD) the way it needs to?by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Brown has easily the most potential of any of their draft picks. If he becomes Aaron Donalds workout partner look out...by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Look at fringe roster players like Demby, Webster, Lawler, Banks, etc. $780-850k savings each if/when released. Do both Shelton and Allen make it? Maybe, maybe not. Same thing. Could Kenny Young ($2.18M) still be a surprise cut? Maybe... In the end I will bet the Rams carry over $3-4M into 2022.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, I didn't include them. But possible. I would even add Hekker. They cannot keep him at a $4.7M cap number if he is not a clear-cut top-3 punter.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, it could. I'm just assuming they won't. Who knows. I am just guessing they'll lean toward using a few later round picks to trade up in the 3rd-5th rounds.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams will definitely not be in the top half of the league in cap space in 2022. But they'll hardly be in 'cap hell' either. Really, cap hell is sort of a '90s NFL term, isn't it? I can't recall hardly any teams really being in that spot in recent years. A few things I think: - The Rams NEED Donald, Ramsey, Stafford, Kupp, Woods and Floyd to all stay really good for at least the next 2 yeby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Always great to get your perspectives (before and after the Draft). With Atwell it sure would be nice if he also had return experience. I agree that he's really a WR5 and gadget player. Now could that role equate to 45-50 touches that make good thing happen? Sure. But I agree I would not have used #57 there- regardless of if someone in the low 60s wanted him or not. Too much better value outby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Probably not in the 2nd. But those extra lower round picks can definitely help them move up in the 3d-5th rounds for guys they want. This is not a team that will need 11 draft picks next year. So packaging 2-3 to move up and fill needs (OL...) would make sense.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I think most would consider the Rams to have drafted pretty well overall (especially without 1st round picks) since 2017. So how many of their draft picks have actually made an "immediate impact?" I loosely set the bar at 300 snaps as a rookie. Since 2017 (36 draft picks total) this is who has done that: Taylor Rapp (2019)- 823 snaps Cooper Kupp (2017)- 736 John Johnson (2017)- 71by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

Just as far as potential 2021 impact. Other have great potential but in some cases, like Rochell, more in front of them depth chart wise. Earnest Brown is an interesting guy but I think is someone we will see more in 2022. Same with Harris.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Lacks special teams experience but that's exactly where he'd have to make the team. The type of young player that really needs preseason games. PS candidate.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not a "comparison" per se but on the recent 11 Personnel podcast she basically said their goal is to get Earnest Brown in two years where Fox was in his 4th. That's a reasonable aspiration.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I am less concerned about LT for 2021 because (a) Whitwworth was still a top-5 LT last year and (b) Noteboom is a capable fill-in. I like Brewer and Anchrum too. I think the needle is pointing up for both. But it doesn't change that they now are relying on guys with 17 and 3 career NFL snaps, respectively, to be top backups and ready to fill in as needed.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I always look forward to it. Both Jourdan and Rich are pretty even-keeled and not homers/cheerleaders.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
In my opinion Brown III at DT is most likely to be a contributor in the rotation from day one. Jones, I think, will have that chance but might grow into more and more as the season progresses.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Along the lines of how the Rams drafted well in middle rounds in past years and now HAVE TO draft well in those rounds. How Woods, Kupp, Donald and Ramsey have been excellent players and now they all HAVE TO be excellent players through 2023. With Brewer, he's a good story, has potential, etc. Strong kid (34 reps in the bench press) and showed up well in 2019 preseason. But now he goes from &by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Looking ahead to 2022 on offense OL is definitely their only need. Defensively you can look at CB (though if they can keep Williams scratch that) and ILB (added Jones this draft, plus seemingly an easier position to backfill). We should assume Whitworth retires. And unless Noteboom ends up starting 10+ games and plays really well it's hard to see much demand for him next March. They either letby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
