1. its not a mess. in fact theres a name for it. its called a trimmed mean. statisticians use a trimmed mean all the time in order to get a mean that more accurately reflects "the middle". however you are correct, the best game should be removed as well. doing so produces a qb rating of 80. the trimmed mean for the entire season would be ~97. in calculating these figures i didnt do aby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Im sure the comp pick thing does play a factor but did nfl free agency seem chily? there seemed to be alot of money being thrown around.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
well you did title the post being realistic...so lets cut the hyperbole and be realistic. im not exactly sure which 8 ram stretch you are referring to...i calculated the final 8 games (including playoffs) as a qb rating of 77.3. that number is driven by the chicago game in which he had a qb rating of 19.1 I didnt check but i would assume the worst game of hos career). if you exclude that gamby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
You feel that's a realistic statement on Goff as a qb? Correct me if I'm wrong but he did lead them to the super bowl right?by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
In other words the supposed rebellion may be in the eye of the beholder. Some players like the two quoted in the story may have an exaggerated perception of actual events suggesting a rebellion. Others may not see it the same way. Again I dont know the truth but I do know that two well meaning and "truthful" people may interpret events very differently. And in this case the story seemby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Well I agree...but its MORE settled for next year than dline and oline and at least as settled as cb in two years. That being said I agree it is still a possibility.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I like winovich but I just think the rams will go in a different direction. Why sign Fowler and Matthews AND draft winovich. Plus they still have obo from last year to groom. Seems like overkill at 1 position.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that's a pretty accurate view of Goff in 2018 and the oline. I think you could also add in the fact that the lions and bears may have provided a blueprint as how to defend the mcvay offense. It will be interesting to see how mcvay adjusts if at all.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i didnt suggestion warner had anything to do with any dysfunction. but dysfunction takes many forms. why do these "whistle blowing stories" need to be precisely about a coach and a qb? but if you need to focus on qbs and coaches. .robert griffen didnt get along with mike shannahan. jeff george didnt get along with anybody. its not a secret that troy aiken wasnt fond of barry switzer.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
well its a pretty long article. but without taking notes, it looks like jermichael finely, greg jennings and some of unnamed "sources" didnt really like rodgers very much. maybe i missed some names but i only saw 2 go on record. ryan grant while acknowledging some friction between mccarthy and rodgers, appears to be sympathetic toward rodgers. seems like their was a similar situationby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Are very fair. Happens all the time. Everyone has an agenda even if they dont realize it. So I have to disagree with your reasoning. That being said...can it be true? Sure. I really have no idea.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
its very possible that some people feel google is the best place to work on the planet while others hate it with a passion. cant that packers or any other organization elicit similarly opposite reactions? god knows that even if jared goff threw for 60 tds next year at least 1 person on this board "would not be sold". thus it stands to reason that some players or employees disliked mccarby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Is what you just said about winovich. Polite had one of the worst combines maybe ever. Yet you are led to the conclusion that he will be their pick? Your reasoning seems incredibly inconsistent.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com

spagsbacker uses the eyeball test. It's the same test that indicates Goff is an awful qb.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
On the rams shop....Interestingly imo the majority of these items include very dark blue, black and white. I think the rams will take cues from these sales in designing the new uniforms. Personally I think a very dark blue or potentially black will be the primary color and yellow/gold is gone in favor of white as the accent color.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
when the rams reveal their new uniforms. They will not be looking back to appease "older" fans. They will be geared to the younger market in order to develop a whole new generation of fans.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
But I think the OP was asking if he will be fired. I dont think you fire the guy with knowing the whole story. But that being said I bet it lessons their chances of taking Simmons. Probably a bad pr move.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Or do I have that the other way around.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Not saying he couldn't play more but the odds are not in his favor.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
again...i see your point and dont really disagree with you. id much rather punch that ball in. but like others said, im not sure its a personnel issue. moreover, and your not going to like hearing this, but the guy on the roster to do what you want to do is everett. personally i think one of the interesting things to see this year will be how (or if??) mcvay adjusts to increase redzone productiby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i agree that the draft could change things, but after watching episode 2 of behind the grind i feel as tho the rams are since in that they really like noteboom and allen. maybe its propaganda, but they convinced me. i dont think they will go oline with the first pick. to me its either dline or cb. nevertheless, i expect all three of those position to be addressed within the first 4 picks.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
in his pocket. I get what your saying and if they can improve the red zone production great but with the amount of points they score it's hard to sympathize with mcvay trying to convince the defensive staff that red zone scoring is their biggest need. His pleas might fall on deaf ears.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i tried finding some reference to that statement but could only find this... which refutes that position.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
athletes for their position but still excelled in college. These types of guys often succeed in the NFL..zach Thomas comes to mind...but favoring one over the other is simply a guess as neither played a down.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
