I've seen excellent, and what I've seen from Keenum doesn't mesh in my eyes. He's ok. He has no velocity on his ball and can't make a lot of throws. Excellent would never be a word I would use to describe Keenum at QB. I do expect him to play the first 4 games, and I expect the Rams to be 1-3. And I expect the main reason for that to be the glaring difference in QBing.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
Owners don't fire Coaches, fans do. If the Rams stink it up this year, the honeymoon just may be over and the fans just may call for Fisher's head. I think the "7-9 is BS" quote by Fisher can bite him in the Hinney. I can easily see the fans and media putting enough negative pressure and press on Fisher that Kroenke will make a change for business sake.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
This is one of my biggest issues. I am handover on the fact that Fisher in his 5th year as HC of the Rams came out and said he's not going 7-9, or 8-8, or 9-7 this year. He needs to be held accountable for that statement. Anyone else in any other job after 5 years who makes a commitment to finally deliver and doesn't do it is fired. Oh, and btw, anyone who thinks Mannion is the 2nd striby max - RamsFootballFans.com

It isn't enough to just throw deep. I'm sure you can find stats that support the claim that the Rams do throw deep. The key point is that it's HOW they throw deep. It's bland, simple, and easily defended. Just not crisp or sharp at all. Watch other teams throw deep and then compare the Rams. The difference in striking. Now maybe the quality of the receivers play a large roll in that, buby max - RamsFootballFans.com
The defense looks just fine. i am very encouraged by what I'm seeing out of Ogletree now. He's bringing the wood, moving fast, and he's vocal out there. If Gaines can stay on the field our corners will be good enough and the D will wreak havoc on a lot of offenses. The FS position is still a concern, hopefully they get that worked out, but they are fine at SS. You can mask a lot of problems on thby max - RamsFootballFans.com
Miami didn't have to get into a bidding war for Long's services. You know better than that. Long did indeed play well, but his body WAS breaking down and it caught up to him.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
After QB, LOT is the position you keep long term regardless of price. That's due to primarily 2 things. Longevity and rarity. Only QB combines those 2 factors to a very high level. That's the reason Faulk was skeptical of picking up Jake Long. He said teams just don't let go of quality LOTs regardless of price. Turns out Faulk was right to be skeptical. QuoteSpeed_Kills I say Goff will Play by game 6 at the earliest ....you say home v Hawks week 2 He's clearly not ready... And he won't be ready by passing the ball 12 times a game Keenum is a much better QB right now Careful. The Rams can easily be 1-3 when they come home to play the Bills. Agree. Just heard Cosell say the Rams are giving Goff very simple things to do and he's having trouble. He said that's ok but that tells him they are being very careful with Goff and don't plan to play him right away.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
I heard Fisher say that it's important to have the starters get the feel of going through a half time and play a bit in the 3rd quarter. If he sticks to that, don't be surprised to see Keenum play the entire first half and start the 3rd.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
This is how I see it... 1. The Niners game is a game that they are supposed to win. 2. The Rams believe that they don't need to do anything special at QB, just not screw up to beat the Niners. 3. The chances of screwing up are higher with Goff than Keeenum at the moment.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
Really enjoyed your view. Agree about Joyner. I never got what they were thinking when they traded up for an undersized slot CB. So many great starters still on the board and they move up to the top of the 2nd round for Joyner. Just seems like Snisher have a problem with the 2nd round. Quick, Pead, Joyner. I agree with all that. I have to say though that my feelings are based on not only what I see but on what guys whom I regard highly, Waldman, Riddick, and Boylhart, have said in their evaluations. I think its interesting that both Boylhart and Riddick see Montana in Goff beyond just the number 16.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlramz Along that line of thinking, I think the should have nabbed QB Brady at 199 instead of Matt Bowen, S. Exactly. There are a nearly infinite number of cases of what ifs on this subject. We can only concern ourselves with situations where a team makes a huge investment in a pick. When you trade away the farm for a pick then you're betting your future on that one player. We have a long way to go, and my observations could just be neurotic reactions that I get from time to time. :) You may have seen my tweets with Matt Waldman and he said he's not changing his evaluation of either Prescott (who he rated quite low) and Goff (who he rated best in class) base on what he's seenby max - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought about how Fisher is treating Gurley. And I then considered 2 things. 1. Fisher is gonna run Gurley like a work horse this year. He's gonna touch the ball almost 400 times. That ain't babying. 2. He is establishing Gurley as royalty on the team. I think thats a good thing. Just adds to Gurley's swagger.by max - RamsFootballFans.com

It's possibly just due to the focus of the show but I noticed two things that interested me. There wasn't much interaction between Fisher and Goff, or any of the QBs for that matter. I've been hearing a lot about how Jason Garrett is very hands on with Prescott and really made him very comfortable and relaxed. Don't see any of that going on with Goff. All his passes are no more than 10-15 yards. Granted, thats because he has a popgun arm, but the pass pro hasn't truly been tested yet. Still, gotta love what we are seeing out of the guys on the OL so far. Is it possible to for a defense to play 12 in the box? All these teams spend all that money and time, yet most of them don't know what they're doing. As Bill Walsh once said about the draft, "we only have to worry about 10 teams, the others don't know what they're doing" Boylhart had Prescott rated 3rd best QB, ahead of Wentz. The Browns should hire him.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
It's interesting about Fisher. He dumps the leaders. Sometimes I think he likes being the only leader on the team, kind of like a camp councilor. Oh, sorry, I got confused reading that. Anyway, I don't see Jason Smith the same way you do. I remember throwing in the towel on that guy long before you did. Quotezn It is true that GR is nothing like Jason Smith. But the real reason Smith failed is not mentioned here. Yes he was as green and raw as GR coming out if not more so.
