the B&Ws are okay for throwback only. imo ...a bit too plain and Colt-y for my likes.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
maybe with our two WRs are A-....and our RBs are prolly C+...the OL is a C... Stafford is A+...and I agree that's the reason for the article's high rating. imo On defense our DL & EDGE is A-.....MLBs are C+....Safeties are C....CBs are D. It's Stafford the WRs and the DL that will propel this team. imo If our OL gets weakened by injuries...forget it.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I also love that since McVay came, the staffs of coaches he's assembled are true teachers of the basics and then the nuances of the respective positions. It's all about teaching....and the Rams are now one of the best at it after being the worst at it.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I really don't like many signings and we overpay for them. WR Woods was the best. imo...other than a few others...most signings get cut in a year or two and rarely re-signed. Players that we traded for are better...but straight FAs we don't seem to rate them correctly - which is kinda hard to understand as we are very good drafting young guys but other teams established Vets not so much! imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
wth?by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
It's something a QB truly values. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he can be really good if given more an opportunity. I mean, a really solid #3 WR that can take screens and get 1st downs consistently. Whittington might even take the #3 from Tutu(especially if Tutu gets hurt and that gives Whitt a chance).by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Cover CB??? NO!!!!! ummm, not quite....anymore. imo Ramsey wants to be in on every play cuz he seems to get too bored in Man coverage, I think. That's when he makes mistakes like the Evans burn. a ProBowl FS....YES!!!! He's like Rod Woodson or a some great CB that got older and lost a step...but knows how to see the field Read & React...come up and tackle or INTs. I'd play himby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
just faster!! ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
These are the 3 unis for the LA Rams... Period.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and what's best is that he finishes with sacks...not missies from what little I've seen. Stewart must have some strong hands cuz he screams off the edge and cuts the corner of the OT...and slings the QB to the ground with one hand!!! He looks like he should gone sooner in the draft with that kind of speed turning the edge/corner!!by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and bringing him up to you and what you saw...I saw. A TE that is a great hands catcher and has speed!!!! good call, bro!! I like the Edge Stewart we drafted too...my God, he looks like he plays at 90mph and finishes...pretty impressive to tandem with Jackson when our starters rest. Jackson & Stewart just might be able to get somewhat similar pressure when BY and JV are resting. pretby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and has good speed...looks like he plays fast!!! But his hands are fantastic...he catches away from his body and is strong to the ball. Ferguson is MUCH faster than all our current TEs and looks to be a better catcher. imo His blocking ability will be secondary when he sees the field. We got guys who are adequate pass catchers but decent blockers to fill that roll (Allen, Parkinson).. butby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
is just insane!! Well done. ps We need to start a MelKiper newsletter!!! ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Respect back at ya for all your thoughtful contributions here at the HERD!!by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
...been reading since 1995 at Post Dispatch. The Rams moved to St Louis and broke my heart. Alyo and I were at the least game at the Big A in Anaheim in 94 (my future wife was a Rams cheerleader at the time and got us free season tickets).by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm so happy I pulled my younger brother (Alyo) over into the NFL from the MLB. Alyo was deep into baseball stats and finally saw the light starting scouting college football prospects for the Rams....and a legend was born!!! Now we get to enjoy his distinct eye for talent on the HERD board. Life is good.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and think he's the real deal regardless of his competition. I have just seen too many runs from Jeanty that would appear to apply vs nearly all levels of competition. However, he'll be long gone by 26th pick....but IF he were there I'd draft him.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I really like Hendy as he would be a nice change of pace RB with a little more HR threat than our others. btw - I really hope they give Whittington more chances as I truly think he's the next Puka but with better running ability for end arounds & screens. I also think McVay needs to be careful with using his WRs to block so much as it'll be easier for them to get hurt...and IF he really wby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's cuz McVay wants a deeper understanding of the game to be shared with his QB. I think McVay wants his playcalls to be understood and acted upon by a QB that can process ALL of the field. Goff couldn't and he's gone. St Bennett?? just a backup for us after McVay had a bunch of journeymen for years and it blew up in the playoff GB game. It'd have to be a generational talent of suprby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and I believe he'd pick a vet so they both can get into the Xs & Os the way McVay loves to do. Goff frustrated McVay imho. I do not think McVay would stand for it (unless generational talent)...McVay wants a vet to start off in college with...not pre-school. ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
IF we are in a win now (and I think we are)....your'e strategy is what I would do also. Same positions too (maybe insert a swing OT along with TE & CB). I really think this may be the way they go if a TE drops within range of a deal. It's a daring strat...but one that has a good shot at paying off...cuz we were just ONE play away from winning. Solid upgrade at LB can be had in the mid rby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
cuz it does kinda put the situation in perspective. I'm not sure how I feel about this whole thing. The Rams really pay ell when they want you and you have performed well for the team(unlike years before under Georgia). I'm glad and want the team to keep and pay the players that fit....but 65mil/yr is pretty fair this last 2 years (like more than fair). imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
YOU are correct sir! I'd trade many players for a shot at Jeanty!! He's gonna be a gamechanger for the offense he goes to. Saquan is kinda a gamechanger too!by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
The defense carried the Rams this last season. We only had Puka, Robinson and Kyren...and the odd Kupp throw to keep us in games and it WAS NOT enough. We need more WR threats and better TE threats(aside from Higbee)...and some more OL depth at OT and we're good for another two years of Stafford. Our defense is fantastic and it was the offense that went three & out too many times last seby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
spot on!! ps. I have to admit...I didn't think Shula was as creative as he has turned out to be. Shula has a good feel on gameday for playcalling...and agreed, this defense is young, smart, athletic and violent. I just want to shut Barkley down at Philly....he is one violent dude himself!! lolby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
as for draft...these are the position groups I want with the first 4 picks in the coming draft. 1) - BPA in terms of order of quality: WR, TE, CB, OT 3) OT 3) CB 4) TEby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
