I really find it hard to believe Rams would make this move to sacrifice Verse. But the Jared Goff trade is a similar MO I wonder when Rams determined to draft Simpson that this was already a point of consideration with Rams and Cleveland. Rams could have simply signed Trey Hendrickson and pushed out any future actions impacting the young core they boasted about. Any number of moves orby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com

I find that suspect With all the traveling SF and Rams have to do the defending WC don't have to deal with those headaches?by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for that. I knew some of the stats Sacks and pressures but not all the rest. I also believe he makes it easier for BY and the interior linemen. The guys on Locked on Rams get on my nerve with the perpetual digs at JV. I believe he gets it and he is putting in the work and I hear he is an ace teammate, encouraging and motivating and highly coachable.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Try this from The Film Guy Look Rams made a very good selection and I believe he is as prepared and has the tools to be very successful in the NFL and Rams have him setup for success. This breakdown is fantastic and given a Year or two he should be physically mentally schematically ready to excel. QuoteClassicalwit And what I see is a game manager. Am I missing something? Is there an equal attention being paid to the picks of the past couple of years and the development and or improvement anticipated from them? Yes we tend to see later round picks as dept pieces but they are only that until they become starters or mature and or learn their position. The notion that any pick is a sure fire starter or high impact player is based on projection that their college tby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Our picks were made with purpose and intent. UDFAs have always been critical to our success. I look forward to the youth from last year to develop and be pushed by our newbies with the exception of QB however I like the odds of Simpson pushing Bennet and any other QB brought in. I really like CJ Daniels who has been a talent who caught my eye early in the mock season. "He's a Ram" pby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Or have an MVP season without his Ram teammates and Sean McVay's team construction. Throwing more money yearly when the goal is to renew yearly requires a discount but trust me Stafford not losing money as long as he is a Ram QB. #1 reason he has signed those deals.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
This is a series of yearly deals that Stafford wanted.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorta like the thousands of fans who read and heard knee jerk fantasy fans and mock draft geek overreactions. MCVAY HATED THE PICK - don't let the facts and the truth get in the way of a juicy lie and click bait. Once McVay and others confirmed the opposite the negative Nellys just rinse and repeat the same mantra as if it will be truer if they say it enough. Those who feel like we missedby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
We were all in last year and we missed. We traded back and we got an extra #1. If all you are interested is how many fans saw that coming fewer did if any, so what? So many teams should be all in and yet what you think that means or what I think that means in no way looks the same for each team. Which of the following is not all in and which ones proved it by their first pick last night?by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Look then folks will have to get over it. Those folks are not at the helm of one of the top franchises in the NFL. They have no clue who a team is built or the actual industry of building and maintaining a successful football organization. Teams are not more encouraged about their chances against the Rams. They see us humming right along. "All in is a made-up phrase" when itby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Stafford has not given Rams any real discounts and he has been getting what he wants and that is year to year raises. Anything else is ludicrous. Stafford can seek a trade perhaps if things are as you suggest. Last time he did that he settled on staying with the Rams.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Might as well say, did the Rams follow your mock#1 pick? Better question would be does the Rams selection of Ty Simpson in 1st rd eliminate them from a SB contention?by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
nm said it in the subject QuoteVancouverRam QB watchers Orlovsky and Greg Cosell ( & others') videos laud Ty Simpson's field vision/defense identification, ability to make all the throws, but moreover "make all the right throws", athleticism, etc etc. Moreover, they go on to cite that Alabama had a @#$%& Offensive team last year vis a vis running game, high profile WRs, etc etc.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
perhaps not say much for fear he might say something that could be taken wrong by Stafford or simply McVay was thinking about the impact of the decision on other plays including Stafford, Bennet and Jimmy G.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Yah there is also great takes on Ty Simpson from Micah Parsons last night he loved the pick and the thought process behind it. QuoteRampage2k Some really good insight here….my favorite part is about how smart he is and his recall is like McVay’s… Contrary to popular belief, not everybody is hating on this pickin the media this morningby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlramz I thought as much. Fast processors, athletic. Let's hope he can be like Bo. Bo was considered a high floor low ceiling guy We drafted a guy with high ceiling and if his 15 games is his floor I think we are in great shape.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Nothing new for you. Thanks for all your contributions and insightby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean they are not a team that is thinking about us and perhaps we think to much about them but I see no reason to believe that Makai Lemon can outplay Brown or you have to wonder do they have the QB that is a fit for him?by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
I am sure McVay was simply not feeling like being questioned and gushing was the play. This was an admission of a torch being passed or an era closing. At the appropriate time he would prefer to be in that position but he was not wanting to step on or lay any landmines with is responses. Fatigue also is a factor but Les also handled it. Perhaps McVay was told to not say much at this time as Ramsby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
I actually felt if we took Lemon or Cooper we would have to double back and draft a big WR that I VALUED more for 2026 impact and beyond. Remember T-Ferg more is expected this year his rookie season was waylaid by injuries and we had guys who were entrenched and able to execute.by BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Rule is if you cannot trade back and guarantee you will get 1 of 2 or more players you equally love then you take the guy you love no questions asked. Many fell in love with the magic they believe was out there and the trades they wanted. I ran several mocks and even in trade back scenarios that were not realistic I would have to not like Simpson to pass on him and the fact is some offers cameby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
I saw the body language of the scouts and coaches in the room and they were giddy. McVay and Snead were "Business as usual but sincerely happy to make the call" The fact that they played this as close to the vest as possible tells me that this was a well scripted plan.[ quote=max] But I don't believe for one second that McVay doesn't really like Simpson. I have no idea whyby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
Let's be clear Stafford has bluffed them more than once leveraging the QB room and the Ram's investment. That is why Rams brought in Jimmy G imo and they found that not to be leverage enough because even the fans did not believe McVay when he said Jimmy G is a starter in this league. With Jimmy focusing on starting or retiring we have no leverage with Stafford and his protracted contract negotiatby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
The big picture for Rams and their vision. The fact is they now have a QB that speaks and understands their language. He is young has great character and hi IQ. Is ahead of the #1 overall pick in this area without questions. We have seen that you don't have to be the biggest strongest and most gifted of all time to win. KW, was very successful and Warner was not all that gifted. What I see with Sby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteThirtymac, The Intrepid Ram Seems like about, oh, 20 minutes ago that Snead and McVay were geniuses… Told my wife this is stacking for Lemon like so many fans want but I just was not feeling it. I wanted to trade back and get him but that was only because he was not slotting higher in the Mock. I always felt he was as clearly the #2 QB in this draft and deserved to be in 1st round. I believed Penix and Nix were worthy 1st rounders, Same with Dart and Shough so Tyson was not a stretch. What I liked also is the 5 yr option and that he was in college getting coached up. We can get the WRby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams are not going to miss a SB because they didn't draft a Lemon. They don't take this lightly. I believe they have made sure Stafford was aware and he has probably told them that he is basically year to year and they need to do what is best for the team. I am not one who thinks that Simpson is a swing and a miss and we were playing with house money a QB you like is better than one otherby BumRap - RamsFootballFans.com
