It's worth taking a look at the last few years to see how they have gotten better. At one point I was complaining louder than anyone about the "hidden yardage" battle and the Rams losing it big time. Penalties and bad special teams play adds up fast. This will be an interesting discussion towards the end of the season and in the off season.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And if you look at the last few years they have shown improvement from the miserable penalty machine they used to be. NFL Penalty Tracker It's a good site and I have looked it over a handful of times. Tons of info and it helps the discussion when it drifts to "we are the most penalized team" thing which fans of most every team seem to say.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
That's half of the answer, and that's also something politicians do. The correct answer is "none, as of yet".by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
16th in total penalty yard 11th in accepted penalties. 10th in total penalties called, accepted and declined. That's for you RFIP since you want to count them :) Not great, but better than it was earlier in the year. I expect them to be middle of the pack overall just like last year. By the way they have consistently improved in many penalty categories over the last 4 seasons. Iby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Cuz there are other things IMO.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Or more, at a good backup rate of pay. Goff will probably get dinged up, almost all QB's do. Having a good backup that can contribute and that knows the system is very, very valuable. If Keenum ends up leaving I'll have a bigger problem with that than with Austin's contract.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
How far back do you want to go? We can make a list and talk about the guys who started right out of the gate and how they fared over the next few years. It'll be interesting to see the list of guys that were drafted in the first round to be franchise saviors. You're going to be surprised at the names one the list. And if you want to we can extend it to 1st and 2nd rounders.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Gotta get your rants straight my man.......... :lol3by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And the pimp outfits are not endearing him to anyone. Before the season when he said "I want to be known for my hats" I was thinking to myself "You mean you want to be known by your ego". I can't stand this guy.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
More like "NFL Guessers" LOL.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't. Not even in the same zip code the way I read it.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
It's the guy he is "quoting". If this was HIS opinion, or he heard this from HIS sources than you may have a point. But that's not the case in this instant.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Palmer is that teams ticket and if they cannot protect him and give him a pocket they aren't going to succeed much. The Rams window is on the verge of opening.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And facts don't matter. So not bothering to post the same thing over and over is pretty sensible I guess. I've pretty much given up trying to talk about the whole myth of the Fisher can't develop QB's. Look at what happened in TENN for three minutes and the conversation is closed, the myth is killed. But that won't matter because the same posters are going to post the same stuff. Hating Fisherby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And that's just not a secret.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Because he looked OK with other QB's. And he has SB rings by the way. It's Bradford. He's just not that all that good.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
So what he said is menaingless.........he's just parroting what someone else said. And that particular person isn't "in the know". So whatever resume the guy has isn't really germane because he is simply repeating "what he heard". This is sports journalism, I've described it on more than one occasion. Talking Head A says: I am sure the Rams are really discouraged aby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that what you are claiming? Cuz I call bullsheet, one guy is "guessing" which is akin to lying in this context and the other guy is just commenting with the "I have heard/people are saying" crap that is used by talk show hosts, bloggers without sources, politicians without credibility and other people trying to bolster their own thoughts with BS. There isn't anything there..........by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
But, as YOU like to say, people that pay attention know that. He was a good OC before he went to the Rams and was a good OC right after leaving.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm saying the "article" isn't well done. That's all. It's drivel from a blog. Since when did that become a worthwhile source?by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Arians........not looking like a genius when the QB coughs up the ball. :lol3by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
He is commenting on an article that is really nothing other than opinions, guesses and suppositions. So commenting, and that's what this is, isn't to be taken seriously when it's just rehashing a fan blog "article". It's not reporting and there are no facts, no quotes or anything else to back this up. It's guys running their mouths and having other guys who like to run their mouthby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And also speculation being presented as facts, but this is today's sports journalism. Journalism in general. Clicks count, facts and accuracy not so much.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
Goff hasn't played. Because he hasn't played that doesn't mean he CAN'T play. Oh alright lets talk about Wentz. If he was playing for the Rams most guys would be saying bench him and lets go to Goff based on his last two games.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And IMO not playing Goff could just as well point to him not being afraid at all as in not one tiny bit.by LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
And if I recall both Long and Laurinaitis had contracts that would have touched the Rams with big cap hits and they weren't exactly in the position to take a cap hit then go out and pay another player adding more to the cap. They waited until it was feasible. Though I would not have redone Laurinaitis's deal to begin with, he just wasn't worth the draft spot or the money at any point in his caby LesBaker - RamsFootballFans.com
That's not how statistical information is useful. He has 6 penalties enforced, 3 declined, 1 offsetting. 45 yards of penalties this year to date. So I guess we should figure out Keenum's completion percentage differently and ADD in the INT's since technically someone caught the ball and lets add in his drops too since they aren't his fault.
