More youth football... injuries!

One of the first things you notice when Father Time starts to set in is that you don't recover from injuries as quickly - - and they hurt more -- even minor injuries.

So yesterday Ashton and Elijah pulled their shirts off and were displaying their battle wounds from this last game. I was aghast. Scraps, bumps, bruises... and NOT minor ones. They were laughing them off, calling them 'minor'... and I was thinking that if it was me I'd be in bed begging for prescription pain meds.

I *can* remember being that tough... but it's a distant memory. BUT.... as tough as they are dealing with their football injuries they'll NEVER know the pain of being my age and sleeping wrong.
