I remember you'd see players where padding if trying to heal from a prior hit or something. But today's DIVAS have armor up and down the arm....shins....ankles....top of hands.......... AND OOOOHH!!!! MY FAVORITE.....Base runners with OVEN MITS to protect fingers??
I don't know...I might not be so cynical about it all if the quality of the game was better. This year is the most baseball I have watched in 4-5 seasons and what I have seen is terrible. Padded players who LOAF on grounders and golf for the fences.
