NFL Standings format, am I dreaming this?

I seem to remember... like since forever ago... that every time I checked the NFL standings... be it online, in print, wherever.... the AFC was listed first, NFC second, and the NFC dead last... and NOW...

The NFC West is the first listing. This is of completely NO importance, obviously... but it caught my attention, (right or wrong). - JamesJM
