Football.. different cultures... NOT a Herd Board post...

last night I watched the game with my family... which in this case meant my granddaughter's boyfriend was in the house. Nice kid, I like him... he's 13 I think?

So 'boyfriend' thought it he could get on my good side by doing the only thing he knew how to do, (I'm not blaming him)... chose the "Raiders" to root for... (you know, friendly competition)... and then 'smack talk' the Rams during the game. In MY house.

Relax, I went easy on the kid. In fact, I never said a word back to him... didn't have to... my granddaughter, grandson's, with gentle touch let him know - "uhhh... you might want to go easy on the smack talk in this house".

So the evening went well.. beating the Raiders twice. Surely you know what I mean by that? There's the first half... most of the starters in the game... then the 2nd half and the players who won't play a lot and are fighting for position. We won both games.
