What I learned about Chef Cookus

One, Chef is an announcer-tagged nickname.

What you'd call a late bloomer; played WR in high school, grew up slowly, (Kupp did as well,) didn't arrive at 6'4" 205 until later. Valuable experience that he larned from while batting artound from Junior College to Ariz. to various pro-semipro assigtnments.

In interview sems both confident and humble; tape shows good-enough arm strength and accuracy; can run but keeps looking for receivers to open up. Seems intelligent and articulate enough to grasp offense and make good decisions on the field.

Wew may have found our backup once he gets acclimated. After stints in NFL seems to have grown in leaps where he's a been starter, shows himself to be firey as a leader yet strady under pressure, well-liked by his teammates. We'll see how much of that translates to the next level - this time.

Case Cookus? Whoozat? I asked. Should have asked Snead. He's apparently found another player in an unlikely spot.

Here's a link. The interviews and tapes are illuminating.
