So, after this Cowboy game what are your remaining concerns?

September 14, 2020 08:52AM
For me it’s a fairly short list, and none of theses are panic worthy, at that.

RB. Need to see a helluva lot more from Akers and Hendy. I have zero confidence that MB can stay healthy. This is a biggie.

That’s about it on the O for me. The other 10 positions seem adequate or better to me. Seriously.

On D?

I need to see an edge truly step up opposite Floyd. AD’s presence leaves the door wide open for someone to shine. Until proven otherwise, this might be the D’s Achilles heel.

ILB still seems up in the air. I haven’t re-watched yet, but nothing here impressed me vs Dallas. Not sure at this point that they even played ‘pretty good’.

On ST?

Sloman is still a question mark, IMO. He’s hardly earned my trust or confidence thus far.

Bonamego needs to unleash the PR options when a return is there. Get Kupp outta there and insert Webster or this new kid Calais. Isn’t that the reason they got Calais, after all? C’mon...

That’s about it for me. Yeah, some players and units need to improve over last night and they will. This game was like a normal 1st preseason game except that they played starters all the way. But I saw enough last night to reassure me that all but the listed above are on the right track with the necessary talent and coaching.
