Shaq Barrett cut by Bucs

It kind of caught people off guard, but the Bucs cut Barrett for a $5mil cap savings.
Listening to Sirius XM NFL guys, they said get ready for a bunch more of these types of cuts because despite the steep rise in the cap, several teams are in cap hell and they will have no choice but to cut some big name, big salary players because that's the only place you can cut enough to matter.

Something tells me that Snead calculated this ahead of time when he made the decision to go into cap hell last season and emerge cap healthy this season.

BTW: wouldn't touch Barrett with a 10 foot pole. He had one great year, and everything else was all bluster and mediocrity living off of name recognition.
