So no news on fines for the Higs/Stafford hits?

I always found it so stupid where fines are set for plays that didn't have penalties attached to them. Both these plays were past being flagrant (if that's possible)....Where are the fines for the refs that don't do justice on the field? What are their penalties for missing such obvious actions? Why is it that it is deemed outlandish and even a fine for coaches and players to comment on these guys....give them credit when they do their job, point them out when they do a bad job...Why are they purposely set up to be above reproach? How does that give them a reason to improve their game? It seems the same ones who do the bad calls continue with them...Gee I wonder why?
