It's hard for a team whose players haven't been in a playoff game....or for a very long time they haven't....to win.
We see this every year, although of course there are always exceptions.
The Rams have only NOT been in the playoffs 1 year under McVay. They have Superbowl tested guys on both sides of the ball, especially on the Offense.
While Goff was in the playoffs and a Superbowl and it will help him, the rest of the team has not been in a playoff game for 8 years.
Will that make a difference? Probably.
So Rams fans ought to have some optimism.
