That's his biggest issue.
He wants to have his fingers in EVERYTHING......When he first got the job, he NEEDED to do just that....Now, he just needs to MONITOR the team and organization.
The hard work he did 5-6 years ago (Which was amazing and DESPERATELY needed) has created a WINNING ENVIRONMENT. Now, "WE NOT ME" basically runs itself!
Now, McVay can just delegate what he needs done and keep his fingers on the pulse of the team.
He will be VERY SURPRISED when he can go home "early", take time for his wife and friends....Come back to the office in the morning and see that ALL THE WORK HAS GOTTEN DONE to his liking and satisfaction.
McVay's still doing TOO MUCH.....When he should be doing LESS....Let the coaches you TRUST and HIRED put the hours in.
